Terrible anxiety

My anxiety has reached a new high for terrible. I feel sick all the time all throughout the day I haven't been sick but I feel like I will be. It's even affecting me when I drink. I'm tired all the time. And I'm getting pains especially in my stomach, sides and chest. I've had tests at hospital before to make sure nothings wrong and everything was fine as always but I don't feel fine I feel awful and my digestion is acting up as well. Just sick of this rubbish now. Would appreciate any advice and what you do to help yourself if you experience this as well.

Thanks, T.

  • Hi - where can I find these CBD gummies? Thanks

  • I used to have anxiety a few years ago. Tbh, it was terrible. It all began when my father died. I had almost no sleep, I couldn’t work, and I had no desire to eat. I’m happy to have a super wife who’s been taking care of me all that time. I tried to meditate and stroll. Making myself do these things was tough, but I understood it was necessary. Besides this self-therapy, I went to my doctor. He prescribed me CBD gummies and told me how to choose them (here’s the article he shared with me [link removed by moderator]. 2 years have passed, and I have no anxiety at all. I’ll always be grateful to my wife and my doctor. Best wishes.

  • High levels of anxiety usually mean tension in muscles and your stomach, but also other consequences, that might explain your pain but also sickness.

Reducing your anxiety by trying different ways is best as its about finding a way that works for you, there are plenty of ideas on here and via google, but the best way is CBT techniques like thinking better about things, avoid worrying and think about things you can do instead, thinking more positively or realistically, and choosing not to suffer.  You are sick of it, so use that energy to motivate you, each time you feel any of these symptoms say to yourself 'i want to work on my anxiety, pain, and sickness to feel better'

Self-coaching can help manage difficult things, coping even though its difficult, it programs our brains to cope better automatically, though its something to keep doing through life as you can easily slip back.

  • Actually it might be where I did drink to much water I noticed when I went to the toilet my urine is crystal clear and when I drink I do feel worse, sick, headache, pain and a bit faint. I've not drank anything for a few hours now and when I went to the toilet it's still crystal clear.

I don't know what to do about this.

  • I feel like this if I have done too much or if there is too much pressure on me, especially my routine being changed, being expected to do something challenging or or knowing that there is something planned that is going to create a situation that I am uncomfortable with. Can you identify anything in your life that is making you feel stressed?  The only thing that helps me at the point you describe is to just try and spend a day or two doing very little and resting quietly somewhere I feel safe.

  • Drinking cold drinks always makes me feel sick, even in this weather. Have you tried having a warm or hot drink instead? Sometimes if I don't feel like drinking tea or herbal tea I just have a cup of hot or warm water.

  • I tried this breathing trick last night and it helped me very quickly, thank you. It seemed to work better and be more tolerable than some of the other breathing exercises I have tried.

  • When did you start feeling unwell? What you describe could be anxiety but it could also be over hydration if you have drank too much water this last week since we had this hot weather. My grandchild had this on Thursday and felt sick every time she drank especially when it was water. If you get any worse call 111 so they can advise you or if you aren't better tomorrow call your GP.

  • Thank you for the tip I will give this a try and hopefully will be a big help.

Feeling very sick this morning but I've noticed that it seems to be triggered by drinking water overall, like on its own and with squash. I had a juice at 4 this morning and felt sick after and I had a juice about half an hour ago and the same thing. Could be to do with IBS maybe as I do get that as well.

  • There is a breathing trick that helps with anxiety, and it is concentrating on your breathing and breathe in for 3 seconds but breathe out for 5 seconds. breathing out lowers blood pressure and heart rate, so if you breathe out for a longer time than you breathe in over 5 minutes or more, you will feel less anxious,

Also try CBD gummies or capsules, they certainly help lower anxiety in some people.
