I go a bit bananas on a full moon
I realised this decades ago - I become pretty hyper and it's been pointed out to me by others.
I know that there is a suspected correlation between state of mind and the moon - hence the word 'lunacy'.
Does anyone else experience this?

Nice to see you posting here again
I hadn't realised it was about his mother's death until I just researched.
The one that really gets me about a parent is:
In the Living Years: Mike and the Mechanics:

Hi Debbie, I’ve always liked that song. It makes me tear up a little bit in a good way.
Hi all,
I was literally just about to post a link to Space Oddity. It’s almost like an autistic anthem.
If we're adding moon and space related songs then Space Oddity by David Bowie is a must, I think we can all agree on that

Cave Troll.
I think it definitely has a bearing on behaviour. I certainly find it more difficult to sleep around a full moon, I feel much more dysregulated
I think of it every time I eat Jaffacakes!
As this has turned into the intergalactic song thread, here's one of my favourites:
Drops of Jupiter - Train:

Thanks for that Kinks trivia!
I love this song. Frightened Rabbit also do a good version of it
Possibly. I still am not sure it's a real thing.
couldnt this be because the bit or arm in moonlight would be the lower end of the arm which is always colder anyway due to smaller veins lower down arm that get restricted, and also due to perhaps having the arm slightly elevated and the end bit in the moonlight is elevated. less blood flow to that part in general which causes lower temperature.
I just had a quick look.
It's on YouTube, as one would expect.

We all go a bit bananas when there's a full moon. It's all that cheese up there tormenting us :p
I don't often get to see the moon. I spend most of my nights asleep or working in my garage on a car or two.

Wonderful, as always.
I had been thinking of resurrecting the 'Creative' thread in the hope of seeing some more of your art, so thank you for sharing here.

Thank you for sharing this.
My late uncle was a psychiatric nurse and commented on the same.
I have in the past Googled and I'm pretty sure it's an unproven/unprovable phenomenon but yes, lived experience counts for a lot!
I can highly recommend Tony Fletcher's biography of Moon if you've not read it - it's just packed with stories like that. It's really amazing he got away with some of the stuff. Chucking fireworks from his hotel at police in the street, bringing lighters shaped like grenades onto planes to freak people out etc. etc.
He knew he could get away with it because he was famous. Had he not been I can imagine he would've spent a lot of time in jail.
She was very intelligent, she turned up on Russell Harty's show once and he tried to outwit her and was just pummelled by her sharpness. Makes for fun viewing on YouTube.
This might work sometimes, but the temperature difference wouldn't be caused by moonlight - is the short answer!
It would be lovely if moonlight was cold, though, mysterious and magical...
I have worked in many hospital units and I can assure you - Lunacy IS a thing!!! Nurses prepare for full moons - as do the ER and labor and delivery units! Seriously, more accidents, more babies and MORE crazy-acting people on full moons.
