I go a bit bananas on a full moon
I realised this decades ago - I become pretty hyper and it's been pointed out to me by others.
I know that there is a suspected correlation between state of mind and the moon - hence the word 'lunacy'.
Does anyone else experience this?
I was given this to try the other day.
I'd like a second or third opinion if anyone else has the curiosity to give it a go.
Equipment: Laser thermometer.Time of day: Night during a full moon (or almost full)Place your arm 1/2 under moonlight, 1/2 under shade.Measure the temperature of your arm in the moonlight and then in the shade. The temperature of your arm in moonlight will be lower than your arm in shade.
The big bright star to the right of the moon is Jupiter.
Did you ever listen to Johnie Walker’s story of a night out in London with Keith, it all started really quite nice and dinner in a posh restaurant, Keith was the perfect gentleman, 30 minutes later, Keith ran across most of the restaurants tables, police and into the cells until management paid for the damage.
Johnie was present in a bar in Paris, The song Lola was written that day by The Kinks. A band member went back to his room with Lola, it turns out that Lola was previously called Len.
I read about the Creeque Alley Mamas & Papas song, It was about the scene in LA at the time, Cass didn’t really like the chorus and she shouldn’t have to have done either.
“No one’s getting fat except Mama Cass”, her real name is Ellen Naomi Cohen.
Yes, that always amazes me! They probably met, too, when they were at Monterey Pop Festival '67. I'm a big fan of his, read Tony Fletcher's biography on him, so happy to rant about Moon plenty tbh haha.
Definitely Moon the Loon counts, a bit of useless trivia. He died 4 years after Mama Cass died in the same bedroom in Mayfair. I could go into full special interest but I think I would bore you.
Does Keith Moon count in this discussion? He was a very good drummer!
If I’m to think of a gold standard song, there is only one.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the timeless Audrey Hepburn.
Moon River.

I was going to post Moon Shadow by Cat Stevens, I then remembered Maggie Reilly with Mike Oldfield, Moonlight Shadow.

Does anyone remember that Jaffa Cakes advert from 1999?
Full Moon... half Moon...
That's effective advertising, eh? It's stuck with me over the decades.
My favourite werewolf. Living with others and never really being able to “wolf out” is often quite hard. It’s sad we have to remain “ cloaked” for a lot of our lives. Autistic people shouldn’t have to hide our real brilliance of just being different.
That is a cracking track.
Full moons are beautiful especially when surrounded by stars I've been stargazing tonight, I love it, all my worries just flutter away.
id imagine youd be bananas under a half moon given the shape
I was outside last night looking at the Moon and the beautiful stars, hopefully when it's full tomorrow it'll look like this!
I would like a moonlit walk, although it's cold..
I got up with the intention of putting CCR on the stereo. But I must have forgotten because now I'm sat down again and I've put something else on.
My musical contribution for the evening:
Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd.
My copy of this album went to Australia with a flatmate who emigrated in 1980 (without my knowledge).
The album leaving not the emigration.
