What are you reading at the moment?
Any recommendations?
I mainly read crime novels but have run out of new ones so am re-reading Graham Greene.
I am on Brighton Rock at the moment.
On a kindle due to eyesight issues.
I usually read one book at a time. I do read new books, but will re-read books a lot more (comfort!).
At the moment, though I am reading too many books at the same time because I have seen autism books recommended here, and I keep buying them! Like Debbie says further down, I have to use a Kindle these days because I can make the font bigger.
At the moment I am reading
Dean R Koontz "The Watchers" - I have read this LOTS since my teens in the 80s. It's about a hyper intelligent dog (always the dogs with me!) created in a genetics lab, and a scary creature, also created in the lab, that is hunting the dog down.
but I keep splicing my reading time with various Autism books.
Novel With Cocaine by M Ageyevand a collection of Hunter Thompson articles from the San Francisco Examiner. Also I am reading online, reading newspapers and reading magazines.
I am re-reading 'The Secret Scripture' by Sebastian Barry.
I probably read one novel a year or two years. And I can't just pick up fiction and start reading it unless I really really know what it's about. I'm the same with watching films. And then the font type sometimes puts me off! I'm definitely a non fiction reader.

Just one.
I don't share what you experience with regard to fiction - I think I've read without fail every day of my life.
Nowadays I tend to read an hour after lunch and then all evening.
I don't however have the concentration these days to read non-fiction.

I do this.
I read so many books at the same time but I never get lost from the other books I'm reading.
When I'm anxious or having things on my mind I tend to go from book to book. I don't know why.
I love reading. I'm reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck.
Really good book. I feel like I'm on a self discovery journey when I read it.
Do you tend to have more than one on the go or just read one?
I had been half way through a very interesting book then BOOM my spoons disappeared and I now don't have the concentration to continue no matter how i try. It's incredibly frustrating. It was my life and enjoyment at the time.
I've recently finished The Night of the Hunter by Davis Grubb.
Wonderful book.
I've just finished 'Snow' by John Banville which I would recommend although it has disturbing themes.
I like reading I'm a bit o a bookworm...I wear glasses now that help me to read because everything was so blurry. Fashion nightmare lololol!
I'm reading David Walliams new book The Blunders. It's good. Really good. I'm enjoying the laid back humour and the illustrations are cool.

Have you tried the lies of locke lamora? It is a fantasy crime one but not crime mystery, its about fantasy criminals, I don't know if that is your thing, or if you just don't like fantasy in general.
I haven't and thanks for the suggestion.
I haven't read much fantasy (The Wizard of Earthsea trilogy by Ursula Le Guin being an exception) but I am running out of books to read.

Snow White Must Die by Nele Neuhaus.
It's not really a novel, but pretty much anything by Thich Nhat Hanh is wholesome. I think maybe confusing the definition though.
Hi.
I'm reading Murder of the Bride by Faith Martin.

Good book so far. I'm working my way through all of her books which am focus on a female detective with a bit of an attitude.
I recommend if you want to give it a try at some point.
What are you reading at the moment? I love to read. It's good to escape from life in a book or Kindle.
I prefer Kindle too.
Never read harry potter.
The final empire, is a fantasy heist (sort of) book. Pretty much anything by Brandon Sanderson.
Name of the wind (Just an amazing fantasy series but incomplete).
Six of crows is a fantasy heist one but more young adult.
Never read it myself but Dresden files is suppose to be good.
That is completely valid! I prefer wholesome and uplifting stories as I find life miserable so it's nice to escape somewhere happy when things feel dark.
I'm currently reading Walking on Sunshine by Giavanna Fletcher,
I've just looked that up on Amazon and was put off by the words 'heart warming and uplifting'.
I have no clue as to why but I do seem to only really like thoroughly miserable books.
I recommend all the Frozen books!
Thank you
I'm currently reading Walking on Sunshine by Giavanna Fletcher, but I struggle to actually sit down and read so I'm also listening to the Hero Forge set on Spotify. Considering signing up to audiable as I definitely find listening to them a lot easier.
I think in a different life i would've been all over it. And Tolkien etc
