& note about the Thread/Link above: " [ This discussion has been locked. You can no longer post new replies to this discussion. If you have a question you can start a new discussion ] " ...says NAS.
...OK, Greetings To All. So this is Me ("DC"), doing a thing which I seemed to have useful/good purpose to do upon this Forum, ever since I first arrived <>3 Years ago. Others more skilled than Myself have come and left, yet I am still looking at this Forum every now and then, with little place else (upon the awful WWW) to safely go. So I spotted NAS' Thread up there...
The link above, is to NAS' own declaration: it is LOCKED, and so this here Thread here, is a version to which anyone can reply as is liked, with 'hopefully' NAS heeding/reading it. And, also mainly since NAS' original Thread there, will no doubt be drowned out/obscured down the History, by other Threads (likely unaware of technical matters such as that)...
My own reason for attempting this Thread is as I waffled up there, but likely I shall not be able to post again after any "Update" --- *again*. My devices and so-called "EMail Addresses" are more than 5 years old! I have said this before in this Forum. And as if to illustrate, so has a Copybot and a Malicious-Hacker, upon this Forum, both about Myself (!).
Finally...NAS says:" Your logon will continue to work, but you will need to set a new password. We’ve been testing this to ensure it works, and will provide more information very soon.If you have any questions, please email us at communitymanager@nas.org.uk .Thank you all for your contributions to the Community. "
...A final reason I start this Thread is that I would wager that that is 'stuff and nonsense' to Persons like Myself as I currently am. *Virtual Testing is not real.* I would probably put in My old EMail Address, and it, just like with Amazon or Google, is no longer recognized after any "update"...?
...to "update", the process seems to be <> this:- Log on with Username.- Enter Password.- Password confirmed. - Please enter EMail Address.- Please enter new Updated EMail Address/Password.- ... 'Oh, sorry, Your (old) EMail Address is no longer valid/works, so We cannot confirm Your Identity or Update Your EMail Address. Please UPDATE Your OLD EMail Address with a NEW EMail Address so that We can update Your EMail Address.'- Repeat the last two or three parts...
This has happened to Me before... and so, well, I state it here. Probably certain Hackers could get in and pretend to be Me, though, easily, since they can pretend to be anyone or any corporation that they want. *Updates do not matter starting from 'Low-Level Coding'.* And what happens to Users of an EMail Address which the Company that once owned/supported/hosted it, has decided that they cannot be bothered with supporting/hosting it anymore?...
Apart from all of that, anyone, post whatever You want about NAS' Update here.
FareWell, All.
yes thats it,, if we keep deleting on each side it is just usable ... ok thats good to know thanks for update.
Hi aidie
Do you mean the private-messaging facility, which has a specific layout issue when the number of messages between two individuals grows large? The facility works for smaller numbers of messages. We're working on that.
the instant message tool isnt working. In meantime I am redirecting anyone wanting 'Chat' to the new Adult Autism Discord site.
We did some work to resolve the Reply-buttons problem recently. However, I've rechecked it and it's still not working as expected. Sorry for the issues. We'll investigate further. As you suggest, I think that the solution that we applied may have been more successful for desktops than for mobile devices.

...This is a Link to that Post above. (Yes, I need this, even if, again, no-one else understands!) I Put that quote into the search box & it works, so that is what I meant.
Greetings, Anyone. (!) I post here a link to a new (Unidentified?) User's Thread;
https://community.autism.org.uk/f/adults-on-the-autistic-spectrum/20060/recent-nas-website-changes
...The reasons for updating this here thread with so many links to others, is as I have said here, for it is hard to keep track of everyone pointing out a new thing. Anyone reading, have a look around this Thread and all the other Threads linked here, and see or reply as fate dictates (...!)
...Are *all* Phone/Tablet Users seeing REPLY Buttons appearing & disappearing, as I am? If so, try out the trick I mention here before this reply. Thank You & Good Fortune.
@NAS36770 - what happens if you register a new sign-in, using the email address that you had before, and choosing a "new" password (which can be the same as the one you had before or different, your choice)? This should link up to your old account and give you access to all your previous activity, private messages, etc.
Well I haven't survived really, I can use Google to design in, but not with my main phone, and I certainly can't reset the password. I don't even want to try, these things just make me so angry when they don't work and I don't like being made to feel stupid
Um... Thank You for Posting, hopefully WebPM/NAS can say something about this...
Meantime - *Truly Thank You* for being upon this Forum for so long, honestly. Older Users are much appreciated. The fact that You managed to survive the 'new sign in's is very good, Thanks. (I hope You do not mind My voting You up.)
...It Worked! Notice the numbers after the link, this is like a set of co-ordinates directed at a specific POST, no matter how old or wherever it may be. I did this to try to get past the "more" button and the "disappearing reply/votes" buttons... Even with no reply buttons, I searched a Thread, past "more" and refreshes, to find a certain post; then copied some Text from that post, then used the (buggy) search box in order to locate that post; then copied the Address of that Post from the Main Address bar (to get numbers)...
Another faff! But at least I can get past the "no reply/votes button" issue. (& even if no-one else understands this, I note it down so that I Myself can recall.)
To reply to a post with no reply buttons, copy a chunk of it and use "Search" to reveal the missing buttons. (Unless it is very very long.)
...I am trying a "Link"-trick; I am replying to Myself so as to avoid having to explain curiosities to anyone else...
https://community.autism.org.uk/f/adults-on-the-autistic-spectrum/19722/difficulty-getting-back-on-here-with-new-nas-security-system/149053#149053
Well tragically my nexus9 incarnation was retired and I can't produce an updated version because it's inaccessible. So just a number for me still
...I am just posting here to add Two more Thread-Links to this Thread. (As I said, I do this -selfishly?- so that no matter how far away the other Threads drop, or how old they get, I am trying to gather relevant Links together, to make it easier for at least M'self.)
...So far, Anyone can ignore this Thread as they want or already have (!)...it just contains useful LINKS to those of us having (Tablets) a slight bother with this new Update, though.

https://community.autism.org.uk/f/adults-on-the-autistic-spectrum/19722/difficulty-getting-back-on-here-with-new-nas-security-system
...Also, not Everyone I remember has rejoined yet... well, I just see how things go. Glad Tidings from Me to those who have managed to do so, though. (This time next Year, there will likely be *another* "Update" again.)
...Also, with regards to PICTURES, as Mr.Aidie told Me, They are GIFs, now, not the JPEGs They used to be. 'Bye for now.
...Thank You Kindly for this - I only this reply now ! I cannot access notifications, Y'see... But I can neither see nor access this button either... and that was what Myself & OutOfStep were trying to say...!
The 'Morrow is a Monday, so perhaps WebPM or NAS shall say something upon one of those other Threads. Thank You again, Mr Aidie.
...Just Me and Mr Aidie here (Fnar.)... because of lack of other Users, I am going to use this Thread for sort of whatever I want or need (nerr.) So I am again posting a few Addresses for this Forum, bringing together a lot of disparate Threads which I am having trouble locating.

...This next is Mr.WebPMs own Thread:https://community.autism.org.uk/f/miscellaneous-and-chat/19513/first-visit-since-our-new-look
...This last is one of those inaccessible upon the "Three Lines Menu Icon":
https://www.autism.org.uk/what-we-do/website/accessibility
(...anyone else see a fullstop at the end of that? Why is that there?)
thank heavens you're still here :)
location of Sign Out is here DC

aidie said:come back
...Apologies if I alarmed You, Mr Aidie... Um, when I said that I am "quitting", there, I meant that 'I end My post and sign off'. Then try to come back...
...The thing is... apart from no-one else putting anything here (!)... I cannot access the SIGN OUT Button/Menu...
...I write this against My better nature, since I always imagine malicious hackers reading and they can tap into an account better while it is still active (maybe); at least, that is what happened to Me so far in this Forum.
Now that I have said this, Lord knows what will happen... If the day comes when I do not Post again without notice, it will be because I have been thoroughly hacked, or because I have become stuck in My Winged-WereCat Form and so I cannot really read the writing upon here since My glasses would no longer fit My nose... (!)
For now, I am stuck logged in because I cannot find the 'Sign Out' button. Seriously.
NAS, Please do not put any "Drop-down Menus" at the bottom of the screen, because it does not and never did SCROLL down anyway.
( Finally All of us can see the Number of "Points" a User has... so if circumstances allow Me, I intend to use the Upvote Button more than ever now...! )
no ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo please stay
Disambiguating Cynosure come back
...Whoohooooooo!?! I am *still* Myself?! I can only see that after sending and replying!
(...Please excuse Me a moment to Take a facecloth to wipe the feverish sweat from My brow...)
...Okay, so, remains only to see if after I LOG-OFF, whether I can come back, ever. But what I said in the OP still stands, anyone. Post whatever You want (politely) here. It seems so far that what was the HISTORY is now the MAIN Page. For M'self, the bottom of the MENU (Icon with Three Lines) is almost completely doo-lally upon My devices, so the SEARCH function's results is totally not visible anymore.
I am quitting writing here for now. Good Fortune to All Good Persons.
Greetings, to anyone who cares, especially NAS...(...)
So this is Me, DC, still using the same old device and old EMail Address... but it is August 25th now. & With mere fleeting warning from NAS about when they would update this forum, and about how to log in again. What I say above still stands.
...Believe it or not, as I type this, I have no idea as to what this Post will look like or if I can even access My previous identity up there!??
I get the feeling that I am OFF this Forum... NAS - PLEASE SUPPLY BETTER INFORMATION ABOUT HOW TO RE-ACCESS OUR ACCOUNTS, PLEASE!
(Yes, I am 'shouting' there. But as I say, I still do not know what ID this Post is going to show. This is NOT fun for Me.)
To close, This is NAS' last Thread about it:
https://community.autism.org.uk/f/adults-on-the-autistic-spectrum/19443/community-update---new-website
I might be back, I do not know, but this is not good, not being able to access My previous account, this here post could be from anyone & I have lost all of My points and reputation and Buddies and Icons and pictures and *grumble mumble moan*...
(And Hackers are still laughing, I would wager.)
