Come on guys 'fess up about all your secrets or not secrets but the things you don't do that everyone else seems too!
I haven't played a computor game since the late 1980's, I can't use a joystick or a controller.
I've never read Harry Potter or watched any of the films.
I don't like chips or fries.
I can't go on casual walks with no destination in mind, because I'll look like a lost tourist, and a ton of people would approach me asking if I needed help with directions, and it's embarrassing to turn them away. I don't know where I'm going, so how would they know where I'm going?
I don't drive or own a car, as traveling on foot confuses me enough. I don't want to make it even more complicated, by adding a metal box, high speed, and angry people to the mix.
People can go out to the beach in scorching hot weather, to cook their skin until it turns into an acceptable shade of colour. I don't get it.
People can casually go on dates with strangers, which seems to trigger all red alerts in my mind. I can't do it. Luckily I've never had to, and found a relationship through work.
I know how to use a computer and smart devices, but I prefer a "dumb" phone, with physical buttons, and simple functions. I can drop it and it's fine, but if you drop a smart phone the screen might crack. People are also glued to their phones, and check their phones all the time. I can't say I want to be like that.
I have them on the flickr pages. Will send you a PM link.
Apparently asian people have the highest proportion of neanderthal dna. Black people the least and white people have a mixture. Watched it on a docu the other day
I can't ride a bicycle or swim.
Right ,let me have a proper go at answering this:I don't watch Saturday Night Television. I only turn on the tv when I want to watch something from my film collection.I don't think it is weird to be something other than myopic.I also don't like Harry Potter or its Author. Same for Lord of The Rings.I don't own a mobile phoneI don't drive or own a car
Its terrible. Not funny at all.
Was just going to reply back and also mention friends and seen you mention it above lol. The goddam laugh track to that awful show drives me insane.....
I walked into a room once and laughed along to the laugh track of 'that 70's show'. Got uncomfortable really fast. None of it was funny.
We only had two channels when we first had one like that and there was more I liked watching than with all the channels now. (No streaming channels).
I could not understand what was nice, funny or interesting e.g. when one character bashed another character over the head
This goes to the roots of why people find the misfortunes of others (slapstick in this case) to be so funny. It turns out it is from a sense of relief that it is another suffering and not us:
Perhaps the oldest theory of humor, which dates back to Plato and other ancient Greek philosophers, posits that people find humor in, and laugh at, earlier versions of themselves and the misfortunes of others because of feeling superior.

It probably won't help you find it funny but it may be nice to understand the psychological mechanics behind it so you know it is your autistic brain being wired differently that caused it.
Agreed. I've never learnt to drive and probably never will.
A lot of comedy fans dislike Gervais. You're not alone in that.
I don't remember having to write anything for my assesment, I remeber being given a tessetaltion test and refused to do it as I'd had one at a learning difficulties assessment and the assessor said she'd never seen anyone do like me. I poked the pieces around trying to get them to fit, she said most people picked them up and turned them about.
The order that the posts with replies appear is nuts. I hope that the new system that we change to in September is better.
Wow! I should do that one day.
Sorry can't get the hang of this I replied to myself instead of to you. Please see above.
Sounds good
Yes I know what you mean about Google maps. So what I do is use car mode not walking mode. Trouble is you have to go sometimes a longer route one way streets for example I go the car way.
JLyn that's lovely! Now I wonder if one day I should make a thread "things you wrote/said in your assessment that didn't actually appear in your report and so just mean that you are bonkers". Regarding Google Maps - it's great to have, but my problem is that I can't orientate myself on the map. I have to start walking in a random direction until I can see the dot move. Then I can go the right way.
