Since the thread, which began May 2021, seems to have vanished, I wish to create a new one.
From Darkness to Light.
1. I paid for a condensed tumble dryer, which I reserved on Tuesday; for delivery, tomorrow. Also paid for a three-year warranty. (In cash)
2. I made a poem, entitled 'Storm in a teacup', about the arrival of Agnes. (SEYMOUR!)
3. Bought more Farm-Fresh milk today.
Good man. It is very shocking to me just how many books are thrown into the recycling "paper" skip at the tip these days. Parting with a book is very hard for me.
I donated my unused books to the donation shelves at my local Tesco, a few weeks back.
I reckon you are being too picky about the books you buy....or you are buying them from the wrong places?
I believe that our cousins in the States, call them "thrift shops".....whereas in the UK, the word "Oxfam" is synonymous with that type of establishment. Many of my treasured books (all hardback) have come from these type of places......and I have some real corkers!
Yes, especially hardcover. Paperbacks are cheaper, but they break MUCH more quickly. And then you have to buy more. My friend now has no money because of buying books. I just get them from the library unless I REALLY like them.

Yup. Books are crazy expensive I think (and I have the income of an unemployed child)
Books not costing 20-30 dollars is wonderful. Yay for good teachers! Also, it's teacher appreciation week! Yay!!
1. Sun was out, today.
2. The Chap who does my lawn also got rid of the weeds; both on my driveway, and the family grave.
3. Got home, last night, from Belfast at 9:50 pm. Had enough time to do mini tasks, and log onto Zoom, for a US meeting on at 10 pm our time.
Awww. My neighbor has a tiny dog that she's trying to train in agility, but he's not very good at it. Otis is really cute.
He might not have been successful at agility training, but his face sure does tell me that he REALLY enjoyed being there with you !
1. Posted a letter I've been meaning to post.
2. Successfully filmed a video of me singing (well, harmonising) and was happy with how it turned out. Not edited it completely though, and it's not perfect, but I think imperfection is better.
3. The sun is out.
PERFECT !

Dictionary.com had a March madness of silly words! The winner was discombobulate.
I recently saw a thing about Milwaukee airport, which has a “recombobulation area”, which makes me happy
1. Asked a teacher a question (seems simple but an accomplishment for me)
2. Got 100% for a vocab test that I guessed on
3. Words that are fun to say like 'discombobulated'
1. Ms. D (English II teacher)
2. English II
3. Ancient Mayan number system- I made a code based on it.
Wow, you mentioning Glasgow reminded me of a trip I took there once with my dad and I can remember having perhaps the most Autistyic conversation ever. I can see it now.
His early life diagosis of schozphreneia I believe to have been in error, he acted way more Autistic than Schiz in my opinion.
I think he saw Autistic symptoms as a character failling and tried to beat it out of me whilst I was young. HE did us eteh phrase "spare the rod adn spoil the child" a lot as I recall, and if you believed that then I suppose he thought he was doing right at first, until he got engulfed by the frustration of it not working, and then just came to see me as a useless object of intermittent hatred.
HIm dying a few decades becfore I found out about the Autism was a mercy really, I'd have taken the pi55 out of him for his attitude towards me absolutely mercilessly...
