Mine is Columbo!
It's way before my time but I watched it first with my parents when I was 14 and I've been hooked ever since. I love his character, I love the plots for the eps and I love the humour which I do understand for once..
Just one more thing!
It won 13 Emmys.
The Porridge movie was absolutely hilarious as well.
I'll add it to my list before I forget. Would love to give it a try. I really like Ronnie Barker, he was so funny. Gr-Gr-Granville f-fetch a cloth. Lol
I thought Endeavour was perfectly done. I loved the ending, such a lovely tribute to the original actor who played Morse.
Have you ever seen the Porridge spin-off Going Straight? I first remember Nick Lyndhurst in Butterflies.
I have a notion that Quantum Leap is being rebooted... it won't be the same...
Yes, I thought it was good. I want to know what happens next!
I have a vague feeling I might have read it, at some point... it does seem familiar.
Yeah, I like Morse too... and also Endeavour. The whole life story...
If you like Open All Hours, you would love Porridge
I love Inspector Morse!!! I feel like I should have added that to my own list actually..
I heard that Jim Broadbent initially auditioned for Del Boy. I couldn't imagine anyone other than David Jason playing him though.
I remember David Jason in Porridge, he was Blanco the old man whod been falsley accused of murdering his wife. He always used to carry round that Muffin the Mule he made
I haven't seen that before but it sounds good. Might need to check it out as well at some point
Good selections.. I love New Girl! I'm going to watch the Office US soon.
My dad loves Ronnie Barker and has most of his DVDs. I think he said Open All Hours is his fav, I've seen it but never seen Porridge before.
My favourite shows are Doctor Who, Inspector Morse, Only Fools And Horses, One Foot In The Grave, The Office US, Poirot, Miami Vice, Quantum Leap and The Simpsons. These are my favourites, I never get bored of them. I would say my favourite of them all is Doctor Who and Only Fools And Horses.
It has been Tom Baker since I was a child (1992!), but lately he's level pegging with Patrick Troughton.
I often go back to watching Porridge, the acting is brilliant, it’s where David Jason ( Blanco) first met Ronnie Barker. A young John Sullivan was a scene shifter on the set and showed Ronnie the script for a sitcom he wanted to make. Jim Broadbent was an original choice for Del, he turned it down but obviously came back as Snide Slater.
Not one I have returned to, but right now I am watching 'Silo' on Apple TV I think it might appeal to a lot of people. It's set in a sort of dystopian future where earth is uninhabitable and everyone lives underground. It has a kind of steampunk feeling to it. Quite good so far!
Im watching it right now lol
Im glad! I love how the characters are so quirky
I have watched the complete series of the sitcom Outnumbered several times.
