Greetings to all who read. I state first a thing that all should know: This NAS Forum is currently experiencing Errors which cause entire Posts to disappear and appear at random... once a Thread passes a certain length.
(...And if NAS happens to be reading... please start a new "Feedback" Thread, okay? I am asking you politely, here where you cannot miss it.)
...Apart from that, this is (an attempt at) a new Miscellaneous Topic Thread. Thank You Kindly.
In a spirit of randomness,
There are famous historical figures (e.g. Isaac Newton) who are now thought to have been autistic, but what about modern day celebrities? The only ones I could think of were Bill Gates, Chris Packham and Gary Numan. There must be many more.
Completely Miscellaneous Topic too:
Apparently the BBC World News website has a section called 'News from Elsewhere' (?) I'd love to know if they've ever had a call from 'Elsewhere' - that certainly would be news!!
Satoshi Tajiri, Suzanne Boyle, Daryll Hanna, Dan Ackroyd, Travis Meeks, Heather Kuzmich, James Taylor, Gary Numan, James Durbin, Clay Marzo, Craig Nicholls, Pip Brown, Adam Young...
(Einstein, Mozart, Newton.)...
That is about the best I could find. Many, including Bill Gates, seem shy about it, if they are, and so there is a lot of speculation... and a lot of other names I do not know...
P.S. - ...Your icon is a Pokemon Starmie! Yay! ;-)
Lol! That’s funny. Makes me want to phone up and say I’m elsewhere!
Glad Tidings, to those who Replied so far! I had thought this Thread to drop into obscurity... persons are less in a "random" mood since lete January, yet I wrote my initial warning so that those who did not know, could know about it (including NAS, maybe).
I was only able to log on very late last night (7-2-18), and so could not really do anything... and now, in just a day, the other Threads I responded to are dropping off as well. Such is the Internet, I suppose...
Anyway, after this is another massively Random Topic from myself, if that is quite alright...
Given that this Internet business sort of allows conversation with strangers... there are some weird questions I have often thought of asking. Brace yourselves, this really is weird...
Which way does the Toilet face in your house? And which way does the Entrance face?
Mine (Family house) faces sort of East-South-East. And the main enterance is North. I suppose this is a sort of "Feng Shui" question, and it is to do with "fortune" and some Races & Persons will only live in a home which meets certain criteria, and some countries they will only build houses in a certain way...
Hi DC,not sure which way ours faces,I will find out a compass and let you know.
older style houses seem to follow in lines and quite often fit with exhisting buildings, grid style layouts.
Modern houses seem to be more random, are varied in style and looks, often have different brick colours and roof tiles, often same style and size properties have totally different sized gardens or none at all.
So I think most houses are random in which way the front door faces!
shear luck if it points to suit fang shui ideals.
for me an ideal dwelling would be small, cosy,,remote and hand built. Made with natural materials, thatched roof, cob walls, dirt floor, wooden doors and window shutters, no glass,
or one big communal tippee, fire in the centre and everyone around the outer sides, bliss,,,sigh, or a log cabin on a hill, or a tree house up high at one with nature,
My house faces west but the front door is through a sort of porch bit attached to the front which makes the front door (and the back door as it happens) face south. This is lucky, from a 'Feng Shui' point of view because the stairs inside the house face the front of the house and I've heard that it's unlucky if your stairs face straight out your front door!
The upstairs toilet faces south-east. The downstairs one faces north. I've heard that in Feng Shui it's unlucky to leave your toilet lid open because it means that the wealth of the residents will disappear down the toilet - sounds about right!! (My partner never remembers to put the lid down.)
How can it be known whether Einstein and Newton were? I was under the impression that ASD wasn't widely recognised back then?
Thank you for the link DC,
strange how in America you can have a “mild” form of Aspergers, I heard from a Canadian member that she had no idea what Aspergers Was? So different countries have different levels and names for autism spectrum variant.
I need to compile a list of formally diagnosed celebs to show how diverse we really are,
