Hello. I was diagnosed literally last month which has been overwhelming, like a relief and pretty anxious for me as well. I'm weird like that! I'm so passionate about animals, music and chocolate lol. I eat way to much choc but we'll blame that on my head I get cravings. I'm passionate about reading and writing as well but my eyes are a bit odd at the moment so I'm not doing those things now.
Any-way....
Hello!
Hello
It's more out of control summer time
I used to have a cat called Phoenix. A Ginger cat.
This little lady in my picture is my Princess. Her name is Patty and she is my world. She tries not to let me go to work in the mornings and pulls me away from the door by my ankle lol.
She is half Jack Russell and half Corgy so a little odd looking. She fits in with my life quite well ha ha.
Do you have a cat at the moment?
Heya Dogtooth,
Thanks. I'm glad you got your diagnosis as well it's such a relief isn't it to know what's really behind everything.
Your PFP is so cute I'm a cat girl overall but I did have a German Shepherd a few years ago. Her name was Rose.
Hi Paigey,
Welcome to the community.
I have only recently been diagnosed as well. I understand the feeling of relief. Its a comfort knowing that there is a reason we feel and respond differently to the mainstream people, but yes it can also be overwhelming at times.
Good to have you aboard.
Dogtooth
Cool, are you a regular customer?
Hi,
Welcome.
I'm glad you got that sense of relief, that's exactly how I feel as well.
Apologies meant to put Paigey. All the best
Hi Paige,
welcome, I was diagnosed in May this year age 55. I feel lots of relief. ! Wishing you all the best. This is a good forum,I don’t post much but it’s always here for support. Best of luck.
Hi Martin, thanks for the welcome.
Glad to see you found NAS community as well. Welcome.
Omg it's a slippery slope, have one bar and then it's 30 lol 54 in one evening, don't think I've done that yet. Most I had in one evening was about 20 but not more.
I also have ADHD. I know that can be a bit tough so hope your doing ok.
Hello Paigey. I was diagnosed last week, and am experiencing exactly the same feelings. It's great to see you here. I'm already finding that it is a very welcoming community. Welcome!
There's a Hotel Chocolat in Belfast; where the Co-operative Bank used to be located; almost opposite City Hall.
Hello, congratulations
I was safe from that affliction most of my life, and than I got hooked up on eating chocolaty things at the age of 40 when I was doing experiments trying to bind multitasking with ADHD's attention switching, basically to make ADHD switch between few prechosen activities, it's extremely energy consuming so I was helping myself eating snickers bars, one evening I had 54
You are very welcome. I am glad you enjoy this online community, it is a really friendly and accepting space of amazing autistic people.
The channel Aucademy is great, I keep promoting their videos and resources on this forum because I love it so much. I hope you find the videos informative and enjoy them as much as I do.
I like most chocolate but particularly Lindt.

Have you tried Hotel Chocolat? Their chocolate is really good, unfortunately I can’t eat it because of a nut allergy and all the products say ‘may contain nuts’. If you like all chocolate, you may be pleased to know that chocolate has health benefits (namely dark chocolate though). Dark chocolate is good for the heart.
Hi there. Thanks so much.
Yeah it's been good so far. Getting to know a lot of nice people here and enjoying chatting in the posts.
Thanks for the link I'll have a look.
I love it all lol! What's yours?
Hi nick. Thanks!
Aw that's so cute. My cat is called Whiskers, not very original but I love him to bits! Your pets all sound adorable. It's a shame you're not allowed a pig, they are cuties! Some can be so loving and sweet.
