To be aware of it is the scariest thing in the universe --- If it exists outside our perception. Awareness that we are nothing compared to the size of the universe and our time of existence in this universe is less than the blink of a cosmic eye. Awareness that our senses are drastically limited to perceive the true nature of the universe. Awareness that any amount of scientific knowledge won’t be enough for us to differentiate if the universe is subjective or objective, that we're pre-programmed or we have a free will, that we are created or are we the result of some random events (or experiment). For me this is my broad view. At a more personal level what scares you.
Yep, that one got me Wright in the flappers. I haven't the spoons today for the smell of pink on rye over a low heat with.....inevitably......cheeeeeese.
Well it keeps me on my toes
That is a VERY clever answer!
Well it keeps me on my toes.
Ouch.
In fairness, and for the sake of balance, we are now moaning about Men in Black and cheesy badgers.
Buckle up sister !!
Why does ballet baffle you?
Wow. I came to post about my phobia of spiders and got a 5 page spread hate speech on white supremacy. This forum is _wild_.
I know B.....T baffles brains, but i can assure you i am quite sharp.
I must admit the rabbit hole threw me.Am too scared to continue...
Believe it or not, Number's actually talking about spam software.
I'm learning Number's language ...
Now, I must go off and do something sensible with the rest of my evening.
Take care of yourself!
Distant low-monotone gives me palpitations..
Although I understand what you are talking about here, Heaven help me that I speak your language now, I bet Lee hasn't got a clue!
LOL.
Yea....I had a look in that rabbit hole from which the Men in Black emerge from....it's a dark smelly hole full of angry cheeeeeesy badgers, I can assure you. I then had a chat with a few badger trainers/badger exterminators and they strongly advised me to stop poking the badgers. Apparently, different sets of badgers can talk to each other on their bot telephones and cause us aggravation beyond our wildest dreams.
Yes, but realistically unless heavy industry / transport in the large / developed countries significantly changes its energy usage what we do as individuals won’t make that much difference.
Scariest thing in the universe is posting a comment on NAS.I get the Men in black knocking at my door.
You ought to be me.
I had a whole ID shut down because it just wouldn't let me log into so I had to recreate it.
Now, every few weeks I get locked out of the forum for a whole weekend.
For me, I just get one thread thrown out as spam and it completely stops me posting anything at all until the mods approve the post.
For some bizarre reason, this only happens at weekends when the MODS aren't active.
Ak**met has got it in for me.
I've got to post this again as I love it.

What scares me?
Well, lots of things I was scared about came to pass, so now I'm not sure... I get very anxious about things, but is that the same? I accept that as part of life, it comes and goes..
I miss things, people - but that's not the same either...
So - maybe now I'm just an empty husk, neither hopeful nor fearful of much at all..
I like it here though
Other people are entitled to a decent quality of life too. If everyone carries on doing whatever for the next 25 years, there are billions of people who will pay for it.
Considering how India's current ruling party is of the extreme Hindu nationalist variety, I don't think "there's racism in India so why shouldn't there be here?" is a great case to make. And your repeated claims that non-white people have more rights and power in Britain than white British people are just standard rhetoric used to inflame racist sentiment and not based in fact.
And again, at no point did I say that all (or most) white people are evil, and certainly not because of actions committed before their birth. No one can help things done by their people in the past, what we can do (and what a lot of people, white or otherwise, refuse to do) is acknowledge those actions, condemn those responsible and try to make good when those actions are still having an effect all this time later. I really wish you would read up on colonialism and the experiences of minorities in Britain and see if you find any areas where you've been misinformed.
On the practical side I am scared by ...
looking stupid and standing out
scared of not looking 'normal' at work
burning out and being able to function
fish (no seriously) have a massive fish phobia, even fish on TV.
More genrally I am scared that the netzeroists will try and change my life. Just want to carry on doing what I do now for the rest of my life. So thats unrestricted driving, flying and eating meat for 25 years. Loosing all that really botheres me.
