I was chatting with my autism specialist today and she confirmed something I’ve suspected for a while... people on the spectrum tend to get on better with others on the spectrum! I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m a social disaster on all levels, but I guess it would be nice to chat with people who share similar issues. The problem I have is that my interests are pretty niche - for example wildlife, aviation and history... not exactly the stereotypical young adult male interests. I’m guessing others share this problem... or maybe not. I dunno :-/
Not sure what I’m getting at but sometimes it’s good to just air your thoughts.

Whilst I'm enjoying the back-n-forth, this level of bashing each other is best done in a pub, face to face with a beer when I think you'd take it much lighter and more humorously with each other - in typed words on a forum, it can be taken as quite nasty.

Remainers like you don't realise that people wanted to leave the EU a long time ago. The wasn't an overnight thing where we followed Farage because of a few things he said. My family would often talk about the mismanaged EU budget, wasting our contributions on huge buildings in Brussels. The ECJ, which overrides UK law, couldn't let us set our own laws. And lastly there were unelected officials in charge of the whole parliament. You talk about fascism and communism, the EU isn't far away from either of these.

Because this is my system, and if there is cctv evidence and several people have corroborated a story then its a cast iron case. If there is any doubt then the death penalty couldn't be given.
I don't care about the US, this country's legal system is head and shoulders above theirs.
How do you know that wouldn't happen? It's happened quite a bit in the US....video evidence, witnesses.....easily corrupted. It's something that can never catagorically be called fail safe,
Of course that wouldn't happen, it would only be for crimes that have been corroborated by numerous people. For example the guy on a London bridge who was running around cutting people with a sword.
Taking a life is too quick. It doesn't do a couple of things. It doesn't allow for mistrials, corruption and failure of the justice system. I would want the person to rot to truly understand the pain they have caused. An execution doesn't allow for that. Logically, it doesnt.....say they execute the person they assume commited those crimes and then years later, the rapes continue? You've just murdered an innocent person.
There is no reasoning, if your child was murdered or raped, would you want the person responsible dead? Answer the question
What's the point......If I take the reasoning I usually would you'd just accuse me of being arrogant,,,,as you have already but the death penalty is something you can never come back from. There was a time when countries prided themselves on not having the death sentence. A more civil time when countries weren't full of reactionaries. I'm not a religious man and I won't say only god decides but there are far better solutions and I'd prefer not to drag us back down to the level of Saudi.
