A long way for a hair cut

Wow, as with so many other things, you all need to travel miles to come and see me and I'll cut your hair! lol.

Seriously though there are somethings that people like us find unbearable, like having someone stood right next to them and touching them and asking questions. Sadly all of these are unavoidable, hairdressers don't have arms like Inspector Gadget and we do need to stand close and touch, we also need to ask questions, like how much time do you want to spend every morning doing it? Sometimes what people want isn't achievable, either their hair won't do it, or we can't can't realistically do it. FOr example if you have really curly hair and want a bob type cut then you'll end up looking like a thatched roof, thats just what happens when you cut curly hair in that style, or someone with naturally thin hair wants something full looking THen theres things like ears, if someones not seen their ears for years and has a short cut they decide they look like a total wingnut or just don't like thier ears and then hate the cut and don't go back which makes any phobia worse.

As you say, hair dressers can be a bit of a hotbed for those with sensory needs  - I know for a fact, even as an adult, I try to avoid them where possible.

After doing a little bit of trawling, I noted that we do have reference to a sensory needs friendly hair care service in the London area - I wonder what other opportunities might be available elsewhere in the country, this could be worth a look.

He's not trained but has a steady hand and a good eye, it's not particularly styled, and I'm not fussy.
