Frankley I'm disgusted by the NAS (wait for the Censorship)

Stuffed you are stuffed, with only one oar(autism) in the perfect state storm and the lighthouse of the NAS is not shining any light. Why not ? simple answer because it does not effect them directly, but it will one day, when there ship sinks as all ships called fraud always sink in time.

Personally I think it would be a complete waste of time as Professor Simon Baron cohen passed my comments to mark lever. The lady that contacted me never bothered to reply or follow up.

If you think I'm cheesed off then your right and quite fairly as I begged for help and was fobbed off I think the NAS is a fraud.

Collecting money on the back of aspergers and then no help at all, the NAS only cares for revenue streams from child services funded by councils or residential clients.

I have verifiably been stitched up by ATOS and DWP who closed all support down without any letters or contact.

It seems after 5 hours the fact I expected atos to stitch me so i recorded it and have key worker and social worker can't get it fixed it has been locked so job centre can't access it.

So to recap I'm ill and both hospital consultant and gp will verify it has made me housebound and as yet no conclusive answers and further hospital tests.

Benefits stopped and professionals who called on my behalf told it will stay that way- my crime was to record atos trying to stitch me up and them canceling appointment as further information had been received which was they read supporting consultants, carer and nhs notes.

So when my landlord can take me to court for rent arrears, notice to quit and I could soon be homeless and hungry.

Forgive me if I'm cheesed right off but i do not see the NAS saying here is an injustice that a person diagnosed with aspergers and medically verified as ill,Who phoned atos to say housebound and was told it was a refusal until they found I was recording call and suddenly bother to read supplied information and write to cancel appointment.

Said to dwp they can home visit but i will video it (because otherwise it would be a fictional assessment as people i know have found out)

Result they were never going to return my entitlement.

So social worker/keyworker spent 5 hours trying to get it sorted or a crisis loan and got nowhere.

Moral of the story, don't record call and get stitched and appeal, record it and dwp will do upmost to make you homeless.

So there you have the situation is real, my keyworker etc can be verified as genuine nhs staff.

I'm not looking for kind words or thinking anyone will help me with money-I'm looking for

1) how to avoid being homeless as £300 rent not being paid and landlord has obligations.

2)food

3) how I can appeal Dwp who have made it clear standing up and genuinely expecting fair treatment account locked and refusing recording any assessment as they are required! Parliament have stated are not fit for purpose and as a foi request states it is your right to a recorded assessment.

The call centre rely on unrecorded calls to manipulate vulnerable,dwp don't want recorded assessments as is a right- as it exposes the sham cuts.

DWP have made it clear that they will be as difficult as possible and tribunal not immediate.

There is an independant adjudicator that can look at it, but that does not solve immediate problems.  

That just about covers it

 what sticks in my throat is the entirely predictable nature of what has been done to me it is not the least bit compassionate.  The frightening part is a malicious civil servant and Ian Duncan smith can make me potentially homeless and key worker/social worker doctors and consultants are ignored.At what point do I need to do something outrageous to get any kind of realisation that I genuinely need help?

While I could DDOS  or hack various sites etc other than a temporary thrill- no lasting effect.

I have fallen down that crack in the road, myself, left to deal with authorities and instruments which are totally heartless.

What the NAS don't understand that saying you will assist but not assisting in real terms just brings more stress and anxiety, maybe NAS are the Atos of the autism world, just another organisation to control the cattle for the state.

Trust me, I have had 5 hours of Social Worker/Key Worker trying to sort this out.

I believe because I covertly recorded when I called to ATOS to ask them to check I was housebound with doctor and consultant-they at first said I was refusing and I said I wasn't and had been recording them for my own safety.

ATOS went mental and then sent a cancellation letter no need to attend as further information has come to light.

DWP claim ATOS said I did not attend and when challenged a letter was available that ATOS sent.

I then recieved a call from DWP lady who was highly annoyed I had recorded ATOS phone call and after making it quite clear that she was going to do nothing as I pointed out that consultant and doctor would verify my ill health and I had recorded the call for my own safety.

She gloated at my miss fortune and made it clear that to ill to attend was a refusal-the call ended.

While after being initially annoyed with the fact that rent payments were cut without notice my land lord will give me a little time.I'm not sure they will wait months for a tribunal appeal.

The council make it quite clear that Housing benefit is closed at request of DWP, the Job Centre tried to help but DWP have locked them out of system.

So I find myself potentially homeless as landlord has financial commitments to keep, no money and expected to visit hospital for more inpatient apointments.

The only thing I did wrong was record a call that was always going to be a stitch up, okay it has made the situation worse by DWP vindictiveness.

I'd love to be well and not in the situation I'm in-truely I would.

I have lost count of the number of times this phrase has been mentioned in conjunction with the NAS. I suspect that the real reason why the NAS did not support Talha Ahsan like Gary McKinnon is because the government threatened to terminate their funding if they chose to mount a high profile campaign in support of him.

In the video of the Full Gary McKinnon Press Conference 2012 Mark Lever talks about Asperger syndrome and the extradition at 8:28 but he fails to mention Talha Ahsan. At 19:20 he mentions the importance of intervention for ANYONE with Asperger syndrome. Pause the video at 19:49 and notice the blank expression on Mark Lever's face when Talha Ahsan is mentioned.

Well not holding my breath at any assistance, I have emailed as requested and so far the silence is deafening.

People who donate to an autism and aspergers charity would expect that their support would assist diagnosed individuals.

AARAN I HEAR YOUR DISAPOINTMENT I am keen to keep this thread from any excuse to lock or moderate it.

It does show that the complaint I made is neither isolated or a small group affected. Looking at the link you posted it shows the NAS are hooked so far into government funding they will not bite the hand that feeds it.

Bit like the rspca percentage of rescues rehomed down, animals destroyed up and 115 million but they still need money.

Even a judge commented on 300 grand trial madness.

So while we may only get lip service from NAS it highlights the fact they are wholly reliant on government funded clients and those of us more able are the unwanted poor relations.

The NAS are completely useless for people with high functioning Asperger syndrome like myself. They were very unhelpful when I was a teenager and they have little to offer me as an adult. There is a very good discussion about this over on another forum.

To make matters worse, my taxes are paying for this farce because the NAS is one of these government funded or 'fake' charities that in 2011 received nearly 90% of its income from the public purse.

The NHS and state schools always refer people to NAS and (almost) never to local independent ASD support groups because the NAS is the government's official and approved organisation for ASD and some deal or contract exists between them. I find plenty of people coming to my local ASD support group who were previously involved with - and more often than not let down by - the NAS.

I was wrong when I expected someone to visit or ask me to go somewhere for an appoinment where they can sit me down and explain what kind of help I needed and what was available. I don't view it as support when you are just emailed a load of pages and asked to get on with it yourself, how can they not understand that those asking for help need help to find the help ?

Exactly the NAS fund raise on the back of aspergers, but they simply do not want to know when assistance is asked for.

My local nhs partnership behave in an illegal and diabolical manner, as you were I was fobbed off and told to contact cab.

Cab confirm the paperwork shows illegal behaviour and disability law service agree.

Nobody followed up to see how things were going, infact there was a fob off and nothing.

The NAS run chargeable coursesvon aspergers and don't seem to practice what they preach.

Should not be the way it is and I agree with your post, the NAS need to really accept and change-rather than "lip service"

I have found it an almost impossible struggle to get progress even when I have the nhs partnership own internal notes. 

Also while the NAS have posted the links which to be honest in my opinion are as much use as a google search.

The key problem in my opinion is that someone calling the advice line in desperation there is no support or follow up.

This allows certain organisations to act with impunity and when concerns are raised there is no follow up. Finding a solicitor even willing to challenge an nhs partnership has been a nightmare, so far a legal aid form and explanation of events has been given to solicitor and it has dragged along.

If others have experienced similar I would encourage a polite and factual post.

So 5.3 million surplus on back of residential income,donations on back of autism /aspergers -there are definitely funds are available to make improvements.

With the current situation abuse is allowed to happen with almost Jimmy Saville impunity- tell who you like and show evidence and nothing will happen and no follow up my experience.

These situations are fertile situations for malicious individuals to act in abusive and vindictive manner while allegedly in a position of power and trust as there is no accountability and they know this!

I will send an email explaining the situation in greater detail, but in a nutshell for people reading this thread.

I have a full written diagnosis going back years ago,I have the NHS partnerships own notes that candid entries show they knew they were creating undesirable situations and failed to either investigate staff training or make any attempt to rectify area's they recognised to be highly unsatisfactory.

Both the Disability Law Service and Citizens advice agree there is more than enough evidence that the nhs partnership acted unlawfully.

Now consider the fact that the chief executive  say's the situation isn't resolvable locally, only after I complained in 2012 after years of highlighting the short commings-I suddenly get there specialist aspergers team wanting to be involved.

The specialist aspergers team has existed since 2005, so why when I have a written diagnosis since 1990's have I only heard about them in 2012!

So chief executive refuses to discuss/accept any short commings locally,but having a long standing diagnosis and a specialists letter from hospital stating my ill health.

As a last poker move knowing they had nothing to offer, I have proof of key worker telling lies and canceling my direct payments.

Forced to attend while ill with an advocate, they sent a social worker that didn't know the facts listed above and key worker didn't turn up.

An OT assessment was done and the second appontment was then cancelled, when the chief exec refuses to attend to short commings and says nothing on offer-  I believe that the meeting was designed to catch me ill and create an alleged uncooperative allegation-I've video'd it and CQC aware.

MP also less than impressed and said will help.

All I found was NAS didn't want to know, so if it has taken me years to get verified evidence of NHS abusive relationship and also an illegal Direct Payments scam operating according to DLS.

Not once did NAS champion my cause and show interest,I got a better response from a kind professor who offered to pass on comments to Mark Lever.

I have of course heard nothing 

I hope you realise, Stuffed, that if you do get help from NAS now, you will have become one of the priveliged few, that get help through kicking up a fuss, and that the rest of us that are no more but also no less deserving of help will still be ignored.

That is not to say that you shouldn't get help.

Rather that we are all equally deserving of help, and it should not be he who shouts loudest, or kicks hardest, that gets that help.
