I'm a big fan of the original Back to The Future film. I think it's perfect in every way (for its time) and it leads you gently through the story, dropping all the information you need so it's simple to follow.
I've watched it many, many times and I've seen the 3rd one a few times as well although I'm not a fan.
I've NEVER seen the second film. I can't do it. I cannot engage with it - something puts me off no more than 20 minutes in. I can't even be bothered to read the Wiki-spoiler to see how it ends.
I just don't care for it.
So what classic films have you NEVER managed to make it to the end?
I've been enjoying The Orville - Seth McFarlane's (Family Guy) semi-spoof version. It was great until they started to take themselves too seriously and now it's becoming just another 'Trek clone.
I tried to watch the first episode of Discovery but gave up. It's not star trek it just used the name. Maybe I'll give it another go.
We're off to a special screening to see the digitally remastered 20th anniversary Matrix next month. Still one of my favourite films - and my wife has a thing for Keanu.
Yeah, I was talking about the recent Star Trek series, that's why I quoted "I am a Trecky". Not that movie.
Give it a look, the first series wasn't that good, well pretty bad. The second series really kicked it up a notch imo. Plus Cadet Tilly is pretty aspieish. They implied it in the first series, but kind of watered it down.
I didn't know about it. Having read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Discovery_(film) I think just as well. I don't think it is a good idea to comprehensively dwell and dig into suicide. Or do you mean something different?

What do you think about Discovery? Second series was pretty good imo.
Come on Kit! It's awesome! The others are all pretty decent, but Aliens is top level.
This is the best costume ever. Just sprang to mind. Big fan of Aliens though.......
Alex de la Iglesia wrote and directed Acción Mutante, Almodovar was one of the producers. Good film.
Euro horrors are underrated. Martyrs, Frontiers, and Funny Games make a lot of mainstream horror look tame.
I 've never been able to watch the remake of The Vanishing or Spoorloos. The Dutch one was horrific at the end. Apparently the Hollywood version was changed.
As for Irreversible. It's Noé's masterpiece. The sound design alone makes you feel sick, not a horror as such but very, very disturbing and sad. I'll never watch that again.
European films do disturbing well.
After Lucia is a Mexican film about bullying, and revenge. The ending was bone chilling, nothing over the top, but it was so believeable and final, I've never watched it again.
Latin America can do disturbing well too.
I like my foreign language films! Apologies!
The Dawn of the Dead remake was good imo. Reading your post down below, they made the zombies pretty hostile, and they could actually run!
Sex has no sound in movies. No slapping, squelching, or air sounds. Like it's in a vacuum. Sorry to be graphic, but ffs!
Dead Set was great.
Probably the only musical I've actually sat through!
Because it's one of the best films ever!
I'd have been the same!
I don't do musicals, I can't follow them!
Ironically Taron Egerton (Eggsy in Kingsman) plays Elton John in the biopic of his life, Rocketman! I wonder if that's how they met, filming Kingsman 2 together?
Excellent! Elton John was very good! I had to look away for the 'meat mincer' bits though!!
Ooh I remember Little Shop of Horrors, good film!
A film I havnt watched in years.. dont remember much of it but i do remember the feed me song was really good.. think I'll have another go at watching it.. yes love the great Rick moranis..
Just watched a trailer.. just trying to work out how I didn't know it existed.. great tip..
