I'm a big fan of the original Back to The Future film. I think it's perfect in every way (for its time) and it leads you gently through the story, dropping all the information you need so it's simple to follow.
I've watched it many, many times and I've seen the 3rd one a few times as well although I'm not a fan.
I've NEVER seen the second film. I can't do it. I cannot engage with it - something puts me off no more than 20 minutes in. I can't even be bothered to read the Wiki-spoiler to see how it ends.
I just don't care for it.
So what classic films have you NEVER managed to make it to the end?
I grew up with Next Gen. Loved it so much I actually paid my sister to watch 5 mins of Generations.
Stormtroopers? Not a musical, but comedy...
Original series are the best :)
STNG & Voyager are just a bunch of intergalactic social workers. Kirk did it best.
There are many many movies and TV programmes that I cannot watch.
For example Coronation street and eastenders . I hate the accents and dialogue. It makes me cringe.
Little Shop of Horrors has a kinda sci to premise. I really liked it too cause Rick Moranis was in the film version. Really liked him as a kid.
I describe myself as a recovering Trekkie. The thing that put me off Star Trek was Dwayne Johnson. Once The Rock turned up on Voyager, playing the role of an alien wrestler of all things, I knew they had sold their values up the river.
Zombie films do leave me with an uncomfortable feeling of dread sometimes, even though I know they're totally fictitious.
I still watch them, especially the more humorous ones like Shawn of the Dead or Charlie Brooker's Dead Set. And not exactly a zombie film but Evil Dead 2 is fantastic.
1st Matrix film, not the rest of them. The only thing that saved the second film was Hugo Weaving's one-liners.
One Halloween, I went to watch Blair Witch Project at the cinema, then went back home and Poltergeist was on TV. I slept with the lights on that nite.
Haha.. I've just realised I'm posting the exact opposite of the topic of this post.. oops.. off track again..
I'm more star wars and back to the future person and now you've mentioned the fly tho I'm going to have to watch it.. the late 80s were a great time for movies and the fly was great.. always reminds my of predator released a year later.. looks like a full day ahead..
If you like sci-fi comedy, then the weirdest films you will ever see are Accion Mutante by Pedro Almodovar from 1993 and The Delicatessen from 1991.
Both foreign language/subtitles but well worth the effort.
I'll see if I can download it just to see if because it's sci-fI can watch it.. virtually everything I watch is sci-fi.. do you have any similar percular restrictions..lol..
It's the banana splits said:just had a thought.. are there any musical syfy movies..?
Earth Girls Are Easy is a musical sci-fi film - Geena Davies & Jeff Goldblum - before they did The Fly together.
Absolutely no musicals or films with people singing in them with an exception of 3 films.. the wizard of Oz.. grease and Annie.. strangely enough I can't watch haribo adiverts either.. think it's something to do with adults pretending to be kids.. "why would you" I don't get it.. just had a thought.. are there any musical syfy movies..?
I loved Kingsman 2. I saw it 3 times in one day - a total experience for the eyes. I admire Elton John for playing his part.
To be fair, I watched Kingsman 2 a few months ago and that was good. It varies. Sometimes the idea for the original movie is so good that the sequel can never possibly live up to it. But sometimes an idea starts in the first movie and then evolves into something even better in second and subsequent movies.
Shrek 1 = very good - Shrek 2 = better
Toy Story 1 = good - Toy Story 2 = Awesome.
John Wick 1 = good - John Wick 2 = better.
I couldn't watch that either!
