We all have really bad days and when I do I often feel I’m floundering and don’t know where to turn to find some comfort and make the world feel like a less completely hostile place. What strategies do you use on those days when everything feels completely overwhelming and bleak and you’re feeling hopeless about life? What helps?
....the same one as me, I think... Lions Mane. ..I'm really not aware of effects from it either way personally...but I've only tried the one type from H&B.
Awesome, Your welcome
I’ve got to be honest I do often rely on alcohol. I’m quite disciplined about not having too much these days - I try to stick to just one drink a night. Years ago I would have much more than I do now. I love that blurry feeling - it makes everything feel so much more bearable and really takes the edge off my anxiety (although not always).
I love Beethoven - so stirring and uplifting. I’ll listen to that Piano concerto tomorrow - thank you :)
That sounds interesting. Which mushroom supplement do you take?
Don't tempt me tag one of them in!
You've got your photo showing as your Avatar.
I'm going to report you now to the mods as it's against rule 406.
So there!
It's half past seven at night woman!

Thank you for producing my 1st giggle of the day
I'm gonna report that cos you shouldn't post pictures that can identify people!
My beard is looking rather nice in that photo, even if I say so myself.

That is because you are a gnome.
I have finally discovered your identity.
I used to do that years ago Goosey but now I watch very sad songs on YouTube instead. Very emotional ones that make me emotional. It would look like I’m very sad or upset but it actually makes me feel better in exactly the same way cutting myself once did.
I would honestly recommend a mushroom supplement. I have been off mine for a couple of months now. I started to feel not myself and didn't know why. I have breaks every now and then . I've started taking them again. I don't really notice any difference until I come off them. They aren't happy pills but they definitely do something. I have felt more focused and like myself - I think they give a bit of room in your brain and this in turn can help mood. This isn't medical advice!
I ask Mr. Kraken for help, and he never failed to delivery. God bless alcohol, without it I would have offed myself 35 years ago!
Music will always make my day and I think it makes everyone's day, I love listening to Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 "Emperor" It always helps me to relax after a bad/stressful day
Either music, or food.
But now I tend to do nothing, but stare blankly into my phone.
I'm sorry for your loss but it's lovely you can still turn to your mum for support
That shows what a special bond the two of you have even now :)
Music...classical really helps brighten my up.
Thank you - that’s really kind of you x Singing is wonderful isn’t it? And musically generally of course. Me and my son often go out in the car and play our favourite songs and sing together to them! Even on quite a difficult day we can manage a bit of a singalong in the car :)
I think crying is a very effective way to release emotions. It’s a good thing and I’m glad it helps you.
