Pain

I'm hoping I'm not alone in this

But does anyone else get loads of pain all day every day? For some reason I'm in pain all the time, and I don't mean just aches though sometimes they are just aches but also really bad stabbing pain, usually in stomach, side and private area or near it. Like wtf is up with that? Already seen loads of doctors and been to hospital so many times and nothing ever showed up which made me look and sound nuts. But it's genuine, loads of pain all the time. Also get feeling of sickness a lot as well.

Last month I've started getting it in my head as well, at the back of my head and sides as well. Been feeling dizzy as well. Don't know what it is or how to make it better, it starts, gets bad sometimes severe and then a few hours later it eases up. Really weird

I know people with autism can be oversensitive to pain and also can have digestive issues. So I put it down to that but last few months it has got a lot worse, could be my anxiety as I do suffer bad from that

But it's also making me feel suicidal, like thoughts and feelings because if this is for the long run and there is no help then I really find want to stick around for that.

Mostly I like life but I'm not hanging around if I'm going to be in pain until I'm like 80. I'm not even 26 yet and already I'm in more pain than most people are. It sucks

And then there's the feeling sick, the dizziness, the digestive stuff, like holy hell wtf is going on

You guys get this to or is it just me?

I'm finding it hard to live with now and don't know who go to with it as doctors and hospitals found nothing

Makes me feel crazy but I know I'm not. At a loss now

  • I'd suggest that you try cutting out one of the common inflammatory foods (like gluten, dairy, or sugar) for a week or so, and see how you feel. I know that gluten can cause people a lot of issues, so I'd suggest to try cutting that one out first. Also you could get an allergy test to see if you're allergic to anything.

  • My son (whose autistic too) had loads of issues with stomach pain and chest pain etc - it turned out that he has celiac disease. He’s cut out all gluten and it’s really helped him. I hope your doctor can help. I’m so sorry you’re having suicidal thoughts - I often get them if I I have a distressing problem that I feel I can’t solve. I can suddenly feel that I just can’t go on any more and it can be such an intense wave of despair. Like you I don’t make ‘plans’ - it’s just the thought my mind goes to when I can’t see a way out of a distressing situation. I hope you find some answers from your doctor. Good luck :)

  • Aww bless your son, is he doing better now? You sound like a lovely woman, I'm sure with your help he manages his autism ^-^ I wish I'd had my mum to help me with mine

I think lots of mine may be diet related.

Doctor took blood just in case to rule out anything bad

I'm sorry you have suicidal thoughts as well as times Kate

Mine is the exact same though.. things get difficult, pressure builds and then suddenly thoughts get like that. I think it's just where get so overwhelmed and worked up by certain things

    I hope you're ok?

My doctor was very kind and supportive. Wants me to take anxiety medication, which I'm thinking about ^-^

  • Gluten is surprisingly in a lot of things, like fried breaded chicken, sauce, and so I mainly just eat meat, fish, vegetables and rice. But I do eat gluten-free pizza and cookies and jams, fries, and chips, because I like junk food (all made sure to be gluten-free of course).

Well I was diagnosed with ibs, the specialist recommended that I stop eating gluten and dairy, but that seemed scary and almost impossible at the time because I did not know what I would eat, because bread was like half my meals! And I never used to read labels, so I had to develop the habit of reading them, but I'd forget the first few dozen times, which lead to a few dozen stomach aches, but now I learned to check the label.

  • Thank you x I hope the meds help you - they certainly help a lot of people. My eldest took an SSRI for a while - he found it tough with side effects in the first few days but he stuck with it and and he did find them helpful after a couple of weeks from starting them. I think this often happens. He also found getting off them a bit difficult too as you get withdrawal effects too. However overall he says he does not regret taking them and he thinks they did help him through a rough patch in his life. I think with me I just could not cope with the initial side effects when I started them so I had to stop. I think it’s best to make sure you have someone with you or someone you can contact for support if you do find the first few days difficult.
I really hope they work for you. And thanks for being so supportive - I really appreciate that. I’m here for you too if you ever want to chat :)
