Hello, I go by the name Oddity. I chose this, as I'm a big fan of David Bowie and am an odd person. I now know my oddity is autism but for a long time I went undiagnosed feeling as an alien on a world amongst humans.
I'm in my twenties, engaged to the girl of my dreams. I'm lucky as she puts up with all my nonsense and never moans about me info dumping Bowie facts on her.
Anyway, my special interest is David Bowie. Here's my Bowie song of the day - Absolute Beginners. Enjoy!

I remember listening to it in my 1st shared flat, over and over again, when I left home at 18, + the lyrics:
helping me to cope with the lows of life.
Rock and Roll Suicide reminds me of a late night Sunday Documentary, on BBC2, about the Ziggy Stardust Album.
My, all time, favourite band.
Always preferred 'Roll Away the Stone', myself.
Did you watch the Martian film? It's got Starman by David Bowie in it. Great moment when it plays, really powerful.

Agreed really resonates with me some parts of that song. I like Blue Jean as well, fast and fun. Oh and then another favourite for me is Let's Dance. I wish I could have seen him live, bit he died before I really knew much about him.
It's impossible for me to choose a favourite track and I haven't listened to his music (or anyone's) for many years.
However, I remember a lot of his music including all the lyrics.
Just off the top of my head:
Golden Years, Heroes (German version), Rock & Roll Suicide + Life on Mars.
I read and heard before you saw him, when was that? Did you enjoy the experience?
That's superb to have seen him so often.
My only experience was 1983 in Milton Keynes Bowl.
I did indeed, thanks, although he was disappointingly far away.

I knew the ATYD story but not the DIS one.
You are a constant source of information Roy ...
I knew if I dropped enough breadcrumbs, you would join the Bowie discussion, All the Young Dudes was given by Bowie for free. When Mott the Hoople turned down Drive in Saturday, Bowie was deeply offended, he went home and shaved his head, he basically killed off that persona of him and used his genius to reinvent himself.
I saw him in New York twice and the last time in 2002 over here in London. I read and heard before you saw him, when was that? Did you enjoy the experience?
a few times
That's impressive.
Where did you see him?
Welcome Oddity .
I like David Bowie's music. The first time I heard his music I thought then how unique the style was and was lucky to see him live a few times. There was no one else like him and I doubt there will be again.
Welcome.
You have exceptionally good musical taste
(in my opinion) ...

Brilliant film.
I love/d Joy Division.
Roy said: He wrote Drive in Saturday for Mott the Hoople, they declined it!
They did well with 'All The Young Dudes' though....

That was the album he was promoting when I saw him live in Milton Keynes in 1983.
I can see him there on stage singing it in my 'mind's eye'.
A very small Bowie though ... as we were so far away.
There were screens so that helped.
I was sad because I hadn't seen him in the '70s.
Now I'm just glad I saw him at all.
That shows my age, I had already left school.
Forty years old, this year.
Playing in my kitchen at the moment is Modern Love.
