Introduction

Hello, I go by the name Oddity. I chose this, as I'm a big fan of David Bowie and am an odd person. I now know my oddity is autism but for a long time I went undiagnosed feeling as an alien on a world amongst humans.

I'm in my twenties, engaged to the girl of my dreams. I'm lucky as she puts up with all my nonsense and never moans about me info dumping Bowie facts on her.

Anyway, my special interest is David Bowie. Here's my Bowie song of the day - Absolute Beginners. Enjoy!

  • It's impossible for me to choose a favourite track and I haven't listened to his music (or anyone's) for many years.

However, I remember a lot of his music including all the lyrics.

Just off the top of my head:

Golden Years, Heroes (German version), Rock & Roll Suicide + Life on Mars.

  • Rock and Roll Suicide reminds me of a late night Sunday Documentary, on BBC2, about the Ziggy Stardust Album.

  • Rock and Roll Suicide

I remember listening to it in my 1st shared flat, over and over again, when I left home at 18, +  the lyrics:

Oh no, love, you're not alone
No matter what or who you've been
No matter when or where you've seen
All the knives seem to lacerate your brain
I've had my share, I'll help you with the pain
    You're not alone

helping me to cope with the lows of life.
