New job, problems.

Many of you on this forum may remember that I started a new job in April and I've been having problems, been off sick with stress, been back to work and now new problems.

At a formal meeting a couple of weeks ago I was given a second chance.  And a formal written letter informed me that they were considering three options.

If I reached the required standards.

1.  They would recommend to HR that I would be confirmed in the post.

If I didn't reach the required standards.

2.  To extend my probationary period.

3. To refer my case to a formal hearing.

Today I have been officially informed that option #3 has been chosen.  I am due to face a formal hearing within the next ten days.

The big incident was that I was reported for stimming on one occasion.

  • p.s. just out of curiosity, how were you stimming?

  • Same job.

I was stimming by gently bangingy head on a wall as a way of saying, 'i don't believe this'.

I made the mistake of wishing one of my clients good luck with her dental appointment as I was finishing my shift.  And she went into meltdown mode.

  • Oh wow, same job - I wasn’t expecting that! It sounds like they’re doing you a huge favour by choosing option 3. If you can’t stim when you’re at work then it’s not a safe place for you. I still think you should sell your photos and write your life observations somewhere. I love your stories, especially the ones about the neighbours who were around when you were growing up.

Hopefully at the job review, they’ll sack you, but only if that’s what you want, of course.
