Every day I feel anxious and afraid. Has anyone got any tips on how to calm my self down?
Look into and try 3 part breath. This is breathing from the stomach, expanding the ribcage and up into the chest. It's a really good exercise to slow down your breathing and is practised in yoga and mindfulness. I have anxiety everyday and it really helps on my bad days.
Puzzle books are great to help focus thr mind. It helps that I have been addicted to them recently, and have found it switches my mind off.

I have just plucked up the courage to book a doctors appointment for my anxiety.
I find that reading helps me calm down.
What are your sensory needs? With me I can calm down with a certain smell or with calming music or a blanket and my favourite tv show or with a cup of tea and some chocolate. It depends on what mood I am in. Sometimes I find myself a task to occupy my mind like sorting photos on my computer.
I hate the daily anxiety. Even anti anxiety tablets dont help me :(
I don’t have any advice I’m afraid. I’ve got problem with anxiety as well and I’m too anxious to go to GP and ask for help/medication.
