I once heard Nigella Lawson refer to a Microwave as a
Mee - Crow - Wah - Vay. It made me chuckle so much so, I often call it that myself. Makes me smile.
James May also calls the kettle the 'Electricity Pot' he stated that the Japanese literal translation for kettle is the electricity pot .
Does anyone have anymore?
Oh another I like is Rough - er - rolls, instead of Profiteroles
List below please
I think the best I heard was Fatty-goo instead of Fatigue lol
Love it
Hahahah brilliant
I too sometimes refer to my microwave as the 'mee-crow-wah-vay'. As I had never previously heard anyone call a microwave a 'mee-crow-wah-vay', I'm guessing Nigella had said it that way for comedic effect.
Some years ago, my son went through a phase of referring to Nigel Farage as 'Nee-gehl Fah-ree-gay', which I then started doing too. It caused us even more amusement when my mother overheard us saying it and genuinely believed it was how we thought it was pronounced. My son also refers to the actor Christopher Ecclestone as Christopher 'Eccles cakes', and to Benedict Cumberbatch as Benedict 'Cummerbund'.
