Tat Tvam Asi, a Sanskrit phrase, "That thou art," is one of the Mahāvākyas in Vedanta. It's a statement that the true essence or origin of everything that exists is sat, and that this essence is what the indivdual in essence is. In the Advaita tradition it is interpreted as meaning that the individual Atman is identical toBrahman.
