" When we let go of who we are, we become who we might be "
Do or do not. There is no try - Yoda.
Wise words he speaks XD
Me neither I have found it helpful as a reminder 'that otherness is myself' (thou art that) i.e. when people/I criticise others it is often unconsciously a 'projection' of themselves/myself https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_projection

No way Jacques Custeau is 2,000 year old - he was only born in 1910:

I think Thomas has been at the sherry again...
I like that as well.
"Blessed is the lion which becomes man when consumed by man; and cursed is the man whom the lion consumes, and the lion becomes man." - A dude called Thomas says that a dude called JC said this about 2 millennia ago.
I like it.

Courtesy of Google:
Tat Tvam Asi, a Sanskrit phrase, "That thou art," is one of the Mahāvākyas in Vedanta. It's a statement that the true essence or origin of everything that exists is sat, and that this essence is what the indivdual in essence is. In the Advaita tradition it is interpreted as meaning that the individual Atman is identical toBrahman.
I don't think I'm any the wiser for that LoL
Here's 3 for the price of 1: 'Life is ordinary', 'Hurt people hurt people' and 'Tat tvam asi'

Really ?Then tell that to the Mods who act like God.
Remember that there is nothing noble in being superior to some other man. The true nobility is in being superior to your previous self - Hemmingway
I never grew out of being pleased with myself for going over a stile no-handed.
Side note sorry if this isn't appropriate but there's always much joy to be had in getting oneself over a stile.
Not uncommon for me.....nor a problem to me.....so you just carry on playing.....we like it.
A finger post is a kind of sign post commonly found in woods and whatnot. Like a kinda waist high wooden post with an arrow on it. When I go on walks I miss them and go the wrong way a lot a lot.
So if our failures are finger posts pointing us towards success and I'm too busy looking at trees to notice them, I'm in trouble.
Tris, are we on the " Tipsy Juice " ?Huh ? Hmmmmm ? Hey ?If not, where on Earth did that post come from ? lol.Best wishes all the same.
As a habitual misser of finger posts when I walk, maybe I'm failing wrong?
Whooossshhh....right over your head. Was just playing.I,ll be good now.
Vimto is not something that I ever drink......and whilst I do have some challenges, I don't believe that PTSD is one of them.
