Thanks to Trisha for inspiring this thread.
These are my answers to her original question (on another thread).
They can be personal, political/history etc.
Here are some of my personal ones.
1976, whilst still at school, meeting a (still) close friend.
1992, when I started to see a psycho/sexual psychologist.
1992, meeting my other close friend.
2007, starting a relationship with my now husband.
2015, when I was able to give up work.
2022, re my autism diagnosis (and joining this forum).
These are life milestones/turning points. Different perhaps from the ones we are meant to consider so.
How about yours?
He was great in Waynes World also.
Mine too! There is just something about that song that gives me goosebumps:)
That was the only good part. Lucky it was in February actually, I don't think we would have been able to do it after lockdown. Hopefully nothing like that will ever happen again.
Glad 2020 was a good year for someone at least.
Awesome. Alice Cooper is great. Poison is my favourite.
I've seen him live 5 times now. Always an amazing show too. He's such a cool guy in interviews too and has a great radio show on Planet Rock
Why? Are you gonna fund Stonewall with it?(I have no idea how to write this so it doesn't have a tone, so for clarity, this is a genuine question about plans for implementation and investment.)
Gosh I have so many to choose from. It's got to be this one though...
2020 - I bought my mum a house which felt absolutely amazing and like I paid her back a little for all the support and love she gives me. She's been happy there since and seeing her happy is the best.
Followed closely by 2016 when I went to Egypt which was an incredible experience for me.
I like Alice Cooper.
2005 - I was 19, quit college because people there were annoying and I was fed up with it. I embraced my rock chick, saw Alice Cooper live (my first rock concert) and spent the summer with my then best friend - a really cool rocker dude who was like a big brother and the nicest person ever. I've got great memories from that year...
I only wish i was a few years older than 10 at the time.
What does Dr Who mean to you on a deep level? Why do you think you're such a fan?
That's lovely. Good to have 'found your tribe'. :-)
Just wait until you're my great age! Though I hope you have more to write by than 'I made a cup of tea and something something Doctor Who' - which has been, I must admit, about 51% of my existence. I think it shows!
Thanks. I didn't have any involvement in Bitcoin but created a variant which will have a special place in the hearts of potentially millions of people but especially minority groups
Congratulations to you and your husband Debbie. Here's to more happy years together.
2023 when I joined this forum. I feel good when I'm here, like I belong. Prior to this, I guess 2004 when my parents were alive. The world was good and I had no worries.
Wow. You co-created bitcoin? Or some variant of it? That’s so impressive!
That’s very kind. I probably overdid it, and I think I got the brief slightly wrong! So what you said was perfect
This is lovely :0)
Thank you for sharing with us. I wish I had more to share now
