Just wondering:
A.) How do people feel about music? Good, bad? Too distracting, the best distraction?
B.) Music tastes: What's yours like? (Genres, not just good or bad... lol) Big Beat-y base, or gentle melodies?
C.) Do you find you can alter your own outlook purely by changing the tunes? (It may seem ironic: but if I need cheering up fast, I'll often listen to and singalong to: Monty Python's - Always look on the bright side of life...)
Some find it uplifting, while others may find it distracting. As for music tastes, I enjoy a mix of genres, from energetic big beats to soothing melodies depending on my mood. It's amazing how music can instantly alter our outlook. Changing tunes can definitely impact our emotions and help us shift to a more positive mindset. I don't think your autism will stop you from listening to the kind of music you love. Statistics show that music can heal diseases or help during the treatment. For example, my music taste might change from one day to another, depending on how I'm feeling and what I'm doing that day. On top of that, I can't live without concerts, so I even joined a live online show platform that helps me watch concerts for a great price. If noise might be overwhelming for you, you may try it too. It's incredible, and it's not much difference from a simple concert, especially if you have good sound system.
Recently I have been referred, but sudden or unexpected loud noise is something I can't particularly do haha.
But when it comes to music, it really distracts the mind and I become quite immersed within it!
I really love all kinds of music - depends on my mood!
Nah I listen to it it daily musics basically my religion metaphorically speaking cause Im not relgios. It's my war cry it's my confidence it's my principles it's my beleifs it's my phalosphy
I'm very much one to use the Repeat button, you're not alone there! Nothing weird about it! :-)
Ska would have been around Desmond Dekker's time; I believe.
Thought it was other way around, I thought Ska was a cross of reggae and punk. As I say, could be wrong, but everything seems to be a mix of styles that have gone before. :-)
Wasn't Ska the origin of Reggae? But that would have shaped punk.
:-( I went to see Blur at Hyde Park in the early 00's... haha. I did also go see Thin Lizzy as well, or rather what was left of the group by then.
Do you like Ska music? I recently got into a band called Death of Guitar Pop. Not sure if I'm right but thought Ska and punk has a little bit of crossover? Tbf I'm probably totally wrong!
When I was a Kid, I thought Pink Floyd were Long-Winded and Boring; the ADHD talking. Now, they're one of my All-Time favourite bands.
I didn't even know the term Progressive Rock until I delved into the analysis of 'Six' by Mansun back in 1998-99.
I prefer Post-Punk to Punk. Joy Division and Magazine are two of my all-time favourite bands.
My Artist Friend gave me a John Cooper Clarke LP, from his personal collection, to me; as a Christmas Gift.
I grew up a Poster Child of Britpop. Seems tragic, now, but Rome wasn't built in a day.
I'm weird with music, some will instantly give me a headache while others just grab me and lift me out of my shell and make me feel nice. I tend to discover a song I like and then play it on repeat many times until it loses its appeal, then i leave it for a few months and the cycle continues. I know, weird! Does anyone else do that?
I am currently obsessed with the song Wolf Moon by Type O Negative.
I have to listen to white noise or calming or classical music when I am working otherwise I can't focus. It's like I need to shut down or distract parts of my brain to allow the bits I need for work to function properly.
Best Rob Zombie album is venomous rat regnertion vendor rock and roll in a black hole. Cause he basically sings about how everyone's fucked up and theres no such thing as normal Rob zombie is the best. He's as much miss understood as we are cause he's he's bat *** crazy and ruthlessly honest.
Good tune! Do you like Thin Lizzy by any chance?
Yeah his Christmas albums are pretty good tbf probably my go too when it comes to Christmas. But twisted sister and penywise do pretty good Christmas albums too. But I dislike hyms and there principles as I find the lyrics hypercritcal so would rather crank up some metal instead.
Accidentally went to the National Autistic Society version...

Will give it a go in a bit, love anything a little slapstick or off the wall. Cheer PR :-)
You'd probably like life's a *** by accept then they get life haha
I know, a lot of people worry about sharing opinions, but tbh it's great to see similar mindsets. :-) I know it's still a little early. But I can obviously only wheel it out once a year:

Merry Christmas all! :-)
I was thinking about a post about music too so it's a pleasure seeing others perspectives. :-)
