Hi!
I've tried going vegetarian before but I can't seem to stick to it.
Could anyone link or list benefits? Physical, environmental, etc.
I can't go vegan due to my eating disorder, so vegetarianism is my only option.
Can you recommend good veggie foods too please?

agree
Also, maybe slowly introduce changes. I did this over a few years and have stuck with it (so far!) First I gave up processed meat. Then it was actual meat. Then it was anything with meat based products. Finally I gave up fish and seafood and became totally veggie. I think more people are "flexitarian" these days and any reduction in meat consumption however small is a positive step.
An interesting image of stone cells LINK that I was lead to from your comments.
full of "Stone" cells
Start enjoying cooking. Don't eat too many processed things. People can be veggie but still have poor diets. Take b12 supplements as this is only found in animal products.
No I havnt tried them, I will give them a go.
Yes it must be difficult if you are a picky eater. I dont know how you feel about beetroot but beetroot burgers are amazing too
I feel like those animals sometimes, domesticated, restricted access to many things, no longer able to survive on my own, (because tthey would not let it happen) if showing anger, treated like a rapid animal and put away
Hi welcome!
thank you for your recommendation!
Domestic food animals have been very successful because humans have a use for them. If humans cease to have a use for them, because of vegetarianism/veganism, they are effectively going to become extinct, or at best have relict populations in conservation parks. I think we owe them more than this, so I continue to eat meat, but I pay extra for meat from ethically raised animals that are slaughtered in as humane a way as possible. For example, there are about 77 million bovine animals (domestic cattle) in the European Union, compared to about 4,000 wild bovines (wisent - the European bison).
mayo contain egg, that's why it doesn't go well with you
slaw without mayo
4 grated carrots, salted, plus 1tbsp rice vinegar, leave it for a while, lets say 15min, add 1tbsp olive oil, 1tsp of chia seeds, a lot of chopped corainder, i usually take whole bunch, around 30g, and that's a bit to much, 10g should do
voila carrotslaw ready
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I am vegan and have been for 5yrs I can recommend lots of resources once of my favourites is an App called 'Viva Recipe Club'. The vegetarian society website is also a great source of information.
I am very passionate about my veganism but I am not militant. I believe that to encourage people we need to be understanding not bullish!
exactly, same here, thus the talk, to find friendly receipes
you do not know my vegan friend :D
but theoretically, experimentaly, you could replace tomato sauce with tapenade made of peppers and olives
I am not sure if it is linked to autism but there is no way I could go veggie. Have massive food issues so can't eat anything leaf based including cabbage, cauliflower, broccili, plus hate carrots and most other veg. Just eat potatoes, beans, peas, sweet corn, mushrooms and betroot, I am better with fruit. Good luck going veggie though, it has lots of benefits.
halloumi burgers are lovely. i like chips. not a fan of any kind of 'slaw. not a condiment fan at all. no ketchup at all. i can only stomach mayo either in VERY trace amounts in a burger or in tuna mayo!
bolognese another one im iffy with, see. my taste buds hate tomatoes, im trying to force myself to like them in certain dishes , eg tomato pasta, but sometimes i just cant stomach it.
i must be one of the fussiest eaters out there!
curry is definitely another no for me. unfortunately i'm not a very 'adventurous' eater.
love fish but would want to go full veggie not just pescatarian. sweet potato im iffy with. i like peas. lime is nice. chillies are lovely.
quorn mince makes a hell of a spaghetti bolognese, looking real enough to fool meat eaters, tested :D
