I wear earplugs to help reduce the noise and help me relax. Maybe it's something you could try? I hope you get some rest soon.
Buy ear plugs, its exactly the reason I have to wear earplugs as people don't understand how certain noises effect me and how they make me feel
Don't know what sort of gigs you go to, but a handy trick to preserve your hearing is to take eiither in ear earplugs (or be able to diy some out of moistened tissue) and if the music lacks clarity I.E. they are driving the P.A. so hard that the amplifiers…
I wear earplugs when i go out now. I didn't realise how many sensory issues i had until i completed the sensory processing assessment with the ASC service.
Yes, I do. All loud sounds, but especially sudden ones. I wear earplugs throughout the day and at night to keep the ambient sound down to a minimum.
That's why I choose the mid-afternoon - less people and no out-of-control kids. I also take earplugs to lower the sound level to something more acceptable.
I use earplugs all the time during the day. I only discovered them a few weeks ago, and I find them wonderful for cutting out all the background noises - which stops me from getting exhausted. I function much better with them and can concentrate for longer…
Wish I could but I have hypersensitive hearing, been trying to block out the noise for quite a long time, no luck. I've recent resorted to earplugs/earphones
I couldn't sleep with headphones. I move around so much as I go to sleep (rolling over, hypnagogic jerks...) that they'd get in the way. Earplugs are good though.
YES!! Me too, I have very late diagnosis (im 47) and at the dinner table at times i need to use the loop earplugs. sometimes i am ok but sometimes not
