• RE: Black dog

Second leave of 10 days in a month - but it's a difficult time of year for me.  Mum passed away on 26th April 2017.  Dad passed away on 7th May 2004.  My birthday was on Saturday, 12th May.  Tomorrow, 16th, is the anniversary of mum's funeral.  Dad…

  • RE: Advice needed on how to control my unhealthy diet

I have an issue with food as I only eat a small number of foods. From you description, I get the sense of comfort eating, is this correct? I love Tony's chocolate but limit myself to the odd bar maybe once a week. Maybe this is an idea, not to restrict…

  • RE: Dating

I came across the term "limerence" quite recently. 15 years ago I had a ridiculous and painfully hopeless crush on a work colleague. After a decade away up in London (thanks to another failed relationship!) I came back to live with my parents, partly…

I have heard that specialist desensitzation can help with sensory issues.  Certainly, "widening my sensory diet" seemed to be on my list of recommendations.

  • RE: What’s the benefit of diagnosis?

Although I wasn't diagnosed until middle age, when I think back to my teenage years, my instinct is to advise you to look into the diagnosis.

Although your son may be coping apparently quite well now, the next few years of his life will bring with…

  • RE: Fun discussion about manhood

I’ve done drag for a few years on nights out and it’s so liberating - even straight men have done drag and they have found the same thing - shows like Priscilla and RPDR, Paris is Burning have made drag more accessible and visible and drag queens get…

  • RE: No one will listen to me

I find systematically taking apart the opposing point of view, pointing out very flaw and demolishing it from the foundations up usually works...

Mind you, it does tend to result in a somewhat shell-shocked audience and bridges that are not just burned…

  • Daylight hours

    Hi everyone,

One of the things I’ve struggled with for as long as I can remember is the clocks going forward (not back!). The change to the evening hours staying lighter for longer leaves me feeling that everything around me is unfamiliar and wrong…
