My daughter is 12 and had SPD sensory processing difficulties!! And we have just started the autism assessment. she’s at high school year 8 we have lots of concerns but one main one at the moment is underwear I can not get her to wear underwear, this is very upsetting as she has started her period as well and won’t wear knickers has anyone come across this situation and what things have you tried to help overcome this problem

Could you try the pants you get that cover the full bum cheek almost like a short? Or maybe see if you could source leggings that have pants attached or you could try an alterations shop and ask the to sew pants into leggings or tights? That’s an awful situation for you. Hope you find a solution.
Thanks for replying she won’t even wear leggings or tights just skirts I really don’t know what to do I’ve tried all different styles of knickers shorts seamless spent a fortune!!!!
Do you think she may try boys boxer shorts? You can get ones that are a bit baggier? Is it maybe the restrictiveness of pants/leggings she dislikes?
