My phone made a horrible noise and there was a text from I'm guessing the government, I think it was about BBQ's but I don't know as it was all in Welsh, Fat lot of good that is then!

It was awful, I had my phone behind me when I was watching something on YT and it went off, I was literally shaking for like 10 minutes. Lol. Thankful didn't need to change my pants after that. Nearly laid an egg.
I just had another thought, a lot of countries use these emergency alerts when theres an air raid, if we had one do you know where your nearest air raid shelter is? I don't think we've got any at all round here.
It just made me jump as I didn't know what it was or where it was coming from, when I did finally get it in English I just thought 'yeah, they just told us that on the news'.
I'm really glad they're not selling disposable BBQ's anymore, or at least for a bit, I think they should ban them altogether, they're a menace, how are people supposed to carry a tin foil tray for safe disposal? There had been serious burns to the feet caused by people standing on buried BBQ's on the beach and they stay hot for hours when covered in sand.
Hi everyone,
I am sorry to hear that the emergency alert was stressful for some of you. I thought I would share some ways that might help to regulate yourself, if or when there is another alert:
Please only use these if they are helpful for you.
Best wishes,

I travel between three counties between my job and home, so on my way home last night I got FOUR flood warning alarms on my personal and work phone. Two different counties declared a warning so I got two alerts on my two phones as I crossed county lines. Absolutely nerve wracking drive for no reason lol
Emergency alerts are switched off on my phone but I don’t know if we would have got one in N. Ireland anyway.
I had my first and last alert a few years ago in Lithuania, before I knew of such a thing. It frightened me because to my knowledge back then, my phone was incapable of such a loud, dreadful sound, so it was very frightening and confusing.
Yeah we just had another one in English
