pictures of lunch. Just that simple. just pictures.. of lunch, or breakfast.. or dinner

  • Finding a good spot for lunch can be such an adventure.

  • friday lunch

slow cooker veggie medley al la Debbie's inspiration.

now Friday is veggie medley day! So easy!

  • thursday lunch

sloppy joe veggie style. salad with lime and olive oil.

  • You will find your food - it is a Quest! Onward to the summit!

  • White food disturbs me …especially milk. It doesn’t seem natural.

Interesting that you have a lot of allergies. I don’t have any (that I know of)

I would want to be vegetarian, dairy free, and gluten free… That’s the only things I’m okay eating though… I’ve tried eating nuts as a protein before and every time I almost vomit. It’s a work in progress.

  • interesting! I like greens, reds, yellows, browns, blues in berries and fruit, and black as in olives and eggplant and coffee. But Purple is just wrong, full stop. I am leery of white as well -unless it's a cheese.

I also like textures that are well defined and don't slither about.  crunchy cukes and salad veggies, gummy and a little charred Beyond Burgers, steamed veggies.. lots of things.

There are also a great many things on my no-fly list, most of them allergies: bananas, avocado (both slimy anyway.), wheat, well, point at something and I'm 50% probs allergic.

I can't stomach eating animals either.  The idea of putting charred, dead animals in my mouth, just gross, and wrong for the animal.

  • well, eating purple things: wrong!

I’m not sure I’ve ever eaten a purple food before…

I think every color is wrong to eat except shades of brown, beige, and cheddar. That gives all the main food groups of: noodles, crackers, bread, cheddar cheese, chicken, and chocolate.

  • oh- this is a yellow variety. It very pretty, yes, with a sweet carotene flavour. We can also get purple ones from the green grocer too and I tried them but they taste.., well, eating purple things: wrong!

  • Wednesday lunch:

chard and pepper omelet with goat milk guyere cheese, brown rice, cherry toms and sprouts.

  • Does cauliflower turn yellow when it’s steamed or are there different colors naturally (and then I only knew about white)?

  • Tuesday lunch

rice wiih marinara, 7 greek olives, steamed cauliflower, 3 dates.

  • would you like to add? I am getting all kinds of ideas here. Preparing food and shopping for it has always been challenging unless I find a rhythm and stick to it and a store(s) that don't intimate. I get home delivery for an online green grocer site once a week, too.

I suppose these photos are trophies of a successful hunt for me. I get a sense of accomplishment from a plate of grub.

  • I don't have any photos to add, but I enjoy seeing the photos Uhane. They look very good and well-balanced.

  • I just put this on tyhe rotor for Fridays now! Friday is "Debbie's medley' day! -

  • Monday lunch

Scrambled tofu with gomasio, tahini, rice, amino acid and turmeric. 2 apples and some cherry toms and a mouthful of sprouts.

  • Ah. I don't eat any food after, say, 2pm. I digest so slowly. So it's b'fast and lunch. I sometimes go tots off script and eat nothing but fruit for up to aa week if I am under a lot of  stress.

I want to add a slow cook veggie thing dish like yours now.

I can eat goat cheese and yogurt. Cow products makes me so clogged.. 'nuf said there.

  • did yo udo it is a slow cooker, crock pot sort of thing?

I fried it with vegetable oil in a wok.

I do lots of soft veg that way and then add mountains of grated cheddar cheese.

Whichever way you cook it, and whatever ingredients you add, enjoy!

when you say you have it for tea/dinner/supper etc do you mean you eat that everyday or just al in one day.

    The latter.
