I got a Girl Kitty, black and ginger, named Hope.
However, she acts as if she was kidnapped.
How may I win her over? I have a bowl of water, some tuna and a litter box for her.

She couldn't live off that though, they need the right vitamins and minerals in proper cat food. When I asked the vet why I had to buy expensive tins of single source protein food for my previous cat rather than just feed him actual turkey, that's what I was told. She did eat a little bit of fish from our dinner the other day, but she usually sleeps through dinner, she is not very interested in food, which is so weird after my last cat who was very food driven.
I think that depends on what the previous owner tells them. Some people give lots of info while others just dump the cat and run. I was told the people who used to have her said she preferred dry food, but that she did eat wet while at the shelter. If they aren't told much then their guess is only based on behaviour in a cage, so I knew mine was friendly, but not that she would be quite so hyper as she has been! But she has been more settled today, helped by the arrival of the Magic Red Dot of Chasing! The pheasant tail feather was good, but not long enough to do more than circles on the floor and leaping on the bed, now we have lots of running up and down the stairs, followed by lots of sleeping.
She bonded with me, yesterday.
This morning, I took her to see my Cousin's kids, he teaches in Dubai and is here for Recess, but she nearly did a runner, from the boot. When I drove her to my Cousin's, she was on my shoulder; like a Parrot. I still handled the roads, like a Pro. Just took her easy.
Aw how cute are u getting on well with her? We had a new cat 2yrs go and she's the cutest thing ever. Give her time to get used to u and her new home she'll be scared but will come round and get used to u.
They are quite diligent about the general information, but not so diligent about giving you specific information when you take on older and settled cats... Food preferences and rituals & some basic but accurate temperament information at a minimum, what they like and don't like, etc. I envision a 20 question "booking in" form to be honest...
With cats breeds really don't matter the same as they do for dogs. The majority of cats are domestic shorthairs, it's only if they're pedigree that people generally care about it.
I got insurance, for her, yesterday; but was unsure of her breed.
I phoned my vet, yesterday, and thought she is a Domestic Shorthair. Hopefully, I'm not too far off. I'll introduce her to the Vet tomorrow.
Oh that is a tiny kitten! I never had such a young one myself, they have too much energy. My sister got kittens and had two so they would play with each other. But we both keep ours indoors due to traffic.
At that age they are quite adaptable. She should be eating kitten food, if you give her wet food then she should get most of the hydration she needs from that, but still keep clean water available.
She's adorable! I'd try her with kitten/cat milk rather than normal milk if you feel you have to give her milk, even if she's ok with normal milk now she may become more intolerant over time. It's best to get her onto water if possible.
