Sharing this on here because I know there are other birdwatchers around, just had a great spotted woodpecker on my bird feeders in my back garden! Had my binoculars next to me so got a good look
I have a question. When I was a child we often had greenfinches in our garden but I haven't seen as any for years. Does anyone get greenfinches visiting their garden?
I wondered that recently as well. Turns out there's been a decline in their population as well as chaffinches:

Yes that's interesting as Chaffinches used to be common and again I haven't seen one for a while.
How lovely
Robins are wonderful.
So friendly.
Enjoy
A general no mess mix so it has some sunflower hearts in it. I just got the bins and bulk bags in so I have nyger seeds, kibbled peanuts, suet nibbles and a no mess seed mix, as well as suet balls a blocks, and dry meal worms. The robin was bobbing around as I was filling everything telling me to hurry up
Is it the sunflower hearts they are eating?
Yep, I'm ever so happy. I'm going to go and sit in the garden now and see what else turns up.
Brilliant!
Such good news
Just been out to fill the bird feeders and when I popped back inside then out again there was a pair of goldfinches on one of the feeders! Not the best photo as it was on maximum zoom on my phone.
It's not showing the link to the feeder that you posted, I only know you did because of the email. Thank you for that, I'll check them out as I don't have that type.
