The government wants to help companies in city centres which have suffered during lockdown because they rely on office workers. It wants to get people back in the office, but 90% of people would like to continue working from home. I'm not sure what the answer to this is. It's already cost the country more than £100bn to pay furloughed staff, and so the government wants to get everyone back working in the towns and cities. I've been working from home during 2020/2021 but I would actually prefer to get off Zoom for good! But most people seem to prefer to want to be at home. I can totally understand that and I think they are right to not want to sped their entire lives commuting, which causes so many other problems. But what does that mean for our bustling towns and cities in the future and the local economy?
The commute is a killer. Especially in London.
Obviously you'd rather not. I was just encouraging you.
Thank you- but I'd really rather not be in this position.
They've just stopped the chemo because I'm stable right now (quality of life stuff) but they say I might be able to re-use the same chemo when the cancer goes exponential - instead of older, more horrific treatments. They reckon I might see the end of the year.
The problem is I have sooooo much to do - and so little time.
Just to say we all think you're a hero around here, Plastic. Fighting onwards like you are
So far so good it's only been a week it's takes a few months before significant difference happen but I'm eating better and I think I've put on 1 or 2 pounds this week so yeah it's going well

Yeah - I think you need the right mentality to work in London - but if you can earn nearly as much sitting on a beach - do it!
I have a software-engineer friend - he's off to Portugal.
u will then be competing with other online contractors who will undercut you unless you do a "blended" contract.

Not really. There's a bigger game going on.
Yes - EVERYTHING is cranked up in London.
