The government wants to help companies in city centres which have suffered during lockdown because they rely on office workers. It wants to get people back in the office, but 90% of people would like to continue working from home. I'm not sure what the answer to this is. It's already cost the country more than £100bn to pay furloughed staff, and so the government wants to get everyone back working in the towns and cities. I've been working from home during 2020/2021 but I would actually prefer to get off Zoom for good! But most people seem to prefer to want to be at home. I can totally understand that and I think they are right to not want to sped their entire lives commuting, which causes so many other problems. But what does that mean for our bustling towns and cities in the future and the local economy?
For companies that kept going, the turloughed staff are clearly not needed - people who work from home are productive and not suffering the commute.
Companies are now realising their glossy, expensive head offices are just a waste of money.
Going to be some big changes as companies work out where the efficiency line falls.

They've just stopped the chemo because I'm stable right now (quality of life stuff) but they say I might be able to re-use the same chemo when the cancer goes exponential - instead of older, more horrific treatments. They reckon I might see the end of the year.
The problem is I have sooooo much to do - and so little time.
