I thought it was time for another lightish thread This year has been pleasantly free of gnats (hate the things!) but the ants decided to cause me grief by chewing a hole in my patio door frame! Luckily the ants themselves appear to have disappeared now but it’s annoying as I now need to fill in the hole and clear up their mess! Why couldn’t they just use the door like everyone else?
Has anyone else suffered at the hands of insects, this or any other summer? Comic/Serious/Other stories are all welcome
Insects appear in the house in search of food. Therefore, you need to look for what attracts them. For example, a food moth nests in cereals. Go through all the packages. A grayish plaque and small pellets on the bottom are sure signs of larvae in the croup. Ants and cockroaches are attracted by unwashed dishes and an open trash can: midges and mosquitoes — stagnant water in vases and pots. The absence of protective nets on the windows is an invitation to visit flies and wasps. When I found the source of the arrival of ants in my house, I immediately took the remedy https://ajverminatorpestcontrol.com/wasp-pest-control-sunderland / and destroyed all the insects. Now I live without them.
Haha, I have a lot of evening out to do... I'm terrible with bugs! I think so
Mm, I did think of those but I like my venetian blinds too much lol. Seems like the weather will soon take care of my wasp problem, it's been quite cold around here these last few days. Cool enough to shut the windows at any rate.
I’m glad that your partner was able to rescue you! You’ll have to even out the score sometime! Well exactly, I’d say that a daddy with long legs coming into your shower uninvited is a perfectly good reason to scream
Daddy longlegs have issues with personal space boundaries!
Under the microscope...It’s Ant man dancing!
Bait..........
The bobbing up and down is horrible! They get right up in your personal space as well
I practically fell out of the shower and yelled for my partner, who humanely removed him. It was 1-0 to the daddy long legs that day. I guess I'd have told them the daddy long legs was harrassing me and it was a perfectly reasonable response
Oh man! Daddy Long Legs. I hate them. Nothing else bothers me. Hate late summer. It's their dangly legs and bobbing up an down. Just freaks me out
Do these work on ants?
I’m assuming that the Daddy long legs came off worse than you as they don’t tend to get on well with water? What would you have told the police if they had been called? To be fair another being had jumped into the shower with you uninvited!
Do you have net curtains? They might help to deter the wasps from getting in through the open window.
Thank you
I was staying in a lovely, quiet B&B recently and a huge daddy long legs decided to jump in the shower with me. I screamed hysterically and I'm still relieved nobody called the police!
Grrr, wasps! Almost every morning I'll be lying in my bed having a bad dream about the dreaded wasps then wake up to find at least one flying around. The little buggers have nested somewhere nearby I think, but it's just far too warm for me to sleep with the windows shut. I have so far managed not to get stung so I shouldn't complain I suppose.
No it's a product called skin soft, Avon make it
