Hi all,
I was inspired by a thread yesterday about knitting, to start a craft or making thread to see what people on here like to craft or make. I like to bead/make jewellery, the type I make is sewn out of seed beads, into a variety of patterns. Included are some photos of my latest piece, a necklace which took 12 hours! Please feel free to share your craft/hobby and a picture of your latest/favourite make if you wish.
I have never actually made a wreath! What did you decorate yours with?
I also really like the colours used. Incidentally, the piece of beadwork that I've just started, I'm thinking of using a similar colour scheme. The main bead colour is teal but I'm thinking of throwing in some copper and maybe a little purple and green too!
These look absolutely amazing! You have a really unique skill there!
Thank you! I don't have a very pale yellow so I think I shall leave it cream.
Try putting them up on Saatchi or Red Bubble
Thank you K
This is lovely. I like any crafts. I've made wreaths this week
You are very talented thou.
There are websites where you can sell things, either as originals or via Facebook and the like. Red Bubble, Saatchi, Behance and so on. But the art world is appallingly corrupt in its way. There was an exhibit of a banana going for 120 grand, another artist are the banana. That kind of idiocy. Someone drops their glasses and they photographed by all the rich patrons.
I wish I could do these things for a living I get a bit of time once in a blue moon to do something creative ha, that's life though it would be cool if I could sell something
I wish. I do sell the odd one though
Do you do this for a living?
These are cool I love the contrasts I love gold and blues and the way it looks like oil in places.
Here are some paper-based artworks I have made
Thank you very much .
I like Pre-Raphaelite art.
I am actually just getting use to the pyrography pen if you can call it that ha its more like a soldering iron.
Thank you for your comments! Sorry I have never responded until now, somehow I must have missed your respinse
A cream background seems fine, or the palest of primrose yellows?
These are superb!
Love the Pre-Raphaelite look to them
The last one I haven't finished I have inked some not so long ago.
I also draw /doodle constantly.
