I've been on Fluoxetine for over 10 yrs now to help with depression following a divorce, I'm also a recently diagnosed autistic age 49 . Reading other threads I can see people take prozac bur was wondering what sort of dose ? I take 40mg most days but am not really comfortable doing so and every now and again attempt a small reduction, I'm not even sure if they work anymore for me but I'm a natural cynic and possibly if I was to quit them I'd crumble in a heap. All I know is my anxiety is high and real OCD tendencies going on , I should just add I've recently moved house too because of nuisance neighbours and found the whole process very unsettled, whilst trying to hold it together for my family.
Apologies, Cholesbury mod . I won't discuss any further. Duly noted.
Dear Community members,
Please may I kindly remind of rule number 13 of the NAS Community:
'Users should not provide medical or legal advice to other users. Giving medical or legal advice can have serious consequences, even if you’re trying to help another member. Please suggest they get advice from a professional. '
Many thanks,
Chloe Mod
I know only too well the side effects unfortunately after failing numerous times to reduce but it has to be which is the greater good I guess and I am autistic which I now know , and just need to face the facts fir the sake of my mental health . I'm glad the prozac works well for you and thanks for your reply.
.
Just a query , really Mark.
Yep some people can be real morons particularly neighbours!
Thank you, hopefully things will settle down soon, you are quite right , I think.
I, as well. There is no win but to up-stakes.

Best wishes for you settling into your new home.
A house move can be one of life's great stressors (if I were in your situation, I would be ultra reluctant to consider any medication changes in such close proximity to the additional stress of a house move).
Hope it won't take long for greater calm to triumph in your fresh environment.
I think people have to be careful on the medical advice here.
Nothing worse than nightmare neighbours. We've had to move once because of that. Horrible.
I'm very sorry to hear that
