This a thread for a people who are still awake at night and feeling lonely. You can chat here.
I'm awake, but not lonely.Memory is a funny thing. My autobiographical memory isn't too good, not unusual for a person with aphantasia, but I can remember 3922 Clay street in San Francisco where I Iived between 1965 and 1968. It was near the Presidio.
Oh wow. There was a lot of going on in San Fran during those years. How old were you?
I'm a big fan of the beat generation. Fear And Loathing On The Campaign Trail 72 is a good bookAllen Ginsberg and I think possibly Kerouac may have been there at that time also. Jack Kerouac was a big traveller so he may have been somewhere else.Maybe Ken Kesey would have been living there too?
sigh.. memories.
Imagine bumping in to Hunter S Thompson! Failing that, how about the many bands living there such as the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane. Wish I could have been there.
A lot of my favourite authors would have been living there at that time..
I was 8 in 1965, so way too young for the hippy scene.
