I am here, of course. Is anyone else about this evening?
Happy Birthday! I hope you had a lovely evening?
Thank you it was ok.
Happy birthday. It is nice that you were/are able to "make a night of it."
I do ok with these things sometimes but it does take its toll. On holiday atm so can recharge today. It’s the noise that gets to me at these things.
Anyway I’m sorry but I fell asleep shortly after my message so couldn’t reply.
Thank you for your wishes
Im not sn ornithological expert so cannot give specific details. But you have night owl and morning lark types of people. Night flyers or early birds!
I suppose it depends if one has been asleep at all?
Tell me more about Larks. My 5 am brain is not really remembering what they are.
....at which point do night owls become larks? I wonder if this transition point changes through the year.....
Happy Birthday! I hope you had a lovely evening?
I’m ok thank you. How are you??
I just got in from a night out with fam for my 50th birthday
Hello. How are you?
I'm sorry to read you are experiencing nightmares.
So the other day a similar thing happens to me, I awaken from a nightmare in a terrible sweat adn psychologically upset and it's so unpleasant that nothing else will do but a nice bath.
Reset my my head and get nice and clean I think.
I pull back the curtain and it turns out that SOMEONE has crapped in the bath!
The below NHS article includes 3 strategies for managing dreams and nightmares.
I used to to get a repeat nightmare (one where you realised it was a nightmare during experiencing the episode). Before going to bed I used to remind myself the nightmare might happen, I knew it was a nightmare, and I could decide to wake up rather than experience it again. I gave myself a physical cue to enact within my repeat experience of the nightmare "my eyes are open because I have awoken". After a while I was able to recognise the nightmare, decide to open my eyes within the nightmare and wake up from it. It might sound unlikely - yet it worked for me. After sometime; I ceased experiencing those repeat nightmares (appreciative of that outcome).
(I tried to post last night - didn't work).
The pallid scops owl (Otus brucei).
I am briefly here. I'm going to watch a movie soon and then get in bed.

No Owl's last night. I wonder if there will be any tonight? What's your favourite species of Owl?
