I've been on this site for a near a week now and was wondering if i should post or not... i finally gave in! The idea of having the possibility to interact with like minded folk drew me in.

I'm an autistic adult who got her diagnosis in her late teens, it hasn't been easy before or after that point. I dont really resonate with my diagnosis the way i see most do which is slightly disappointing but i know i dont exactly fit in the way others want me to. 

i feel safest at home in my room playing video games, watching anime and listening to/playing music (mostly rock or metal) if i had it my way id stay like this, out of sight of society where i can be happy. I speak a lot better online than in person where i go mute, so it's places like this i get to talk to people and i like seeing other peoples views on things it's interesting.

    Hi Purple welcome to the forum.

    I am kinda new to this forum too. I am glad you managed to decide to post. It is a great way to interact with people of your tribe. We are all different but remain linked by the "A" word.

    I had to stop playing video games as I would play non-stop for hours and days without a break. I am wary of starting again but do have the occasional urge.

    I have also found my musical tastes have become more inclined to rock music where there is a fast repeating riff as I move along to the beat which I find stimulating but soothing lol.

    Yeah with gaming i have a habit of losing my sleep cycles and stuff if i get too invested but i dont really know how id properly calm down without it anymore, music and drawing helps but its not the same.

    Rock music is amazing! it feels so alive to me and the way they sing in the songs is really nice. do you have favourite songs?
