I've just joined your community, I've only recently been diagnosed, so my mind is in a total spin, i'm interested to know if anyone else relied a diagnosis in their 40s and how it has affected them.

    Can’t say I was diagnosed in my 40’s because I wasn’t but I was diagnosed at 18. How are you finding it now that you know you’re autistic?

    Hello Caroline.  I don't understand your words here.....can you clarify please.  Do you mean "received" rather than "relied"?

    Lots of people who come through this place have received a diagnosis in any/every conceivable decade of their life......although I'm not sure anyone I have seen anyone reporting that they have been  diagnosed in their 80's, now I come to think about it.
