Hey, I'm Kitty.I'm new here and I guess you could say I'm pretty new to my diagnosis of autism as I was diagnosed in 2020 but had long suspected I might be autistic in my early 20s.
I always had signs of autism when I was little, not that I realised it then of course but I never fit in and my whole life that's never changed which is why I've decided to join here as I'm hoping it will be a place I can be myself and hopefully will fit in.
Despite some of the issues autism brings I am really happy and proud to be autistic. It's difficult at times but I see a lot of positives in my life because of it. Like how passionate I am about my hobbies and interests. I lack social skills unfortunately but I like to think I'm a nice friendly person.
I find peace in music and lately I've been doing creative stuff from the comfort of my room. Oh and I've been binge watching One Foot In The Grave. I have a love of vintage TV series
Nice to meet you!
Nice to meet you! I really admire how you said you see a lot of the positives of it. There are positives to autism, for sure- it can be so easy for me to overlook those things when I'm struggling. It's nice to be reminded that they're there
In my case I just sound like someone trying to sing way out of their range
Hello! Nice to meet you too
Hi nice to meet you too
I get that lol. Ready to sing like Elvis and then when I do in front of people I sound like a cat being strangled
I've had that too, say that I've got good pitch and stuff. I'm just afraid of being heard
Hello. Thank you!
You're so lucky to got to have seen them when they were new. I haven't seen all the ones you have, probably not even half but I'm slowly adding more and more to list. I watched Fawlty Towers during the covid lockdown, really enjoyed that.
Welcome
I'm old enough to have watched the vintage TV series when they were aired originally. My favourites include One Foot In The Grave, Keeping Up Appearances, Fawlty Towers, Some Mothers Do 'Av 'Em, etc. They don't make sitcoms like they used to.
I love singing. I've been told I have a nice voice, I sing a lot.
Nice! I do sing a bit, I don't have the confidence I did before my voice broke but I can do it in small doses.
I got the Gavin and Stacey series for Christmas! I haven't seen it before but I'll be watching it later this year.
Do you sing much? I love singing it's good for the soul
I enjoy Taskmaster, Outnumbered and The Big Bang Theory too! Gavin and Stacey is another one.
I love Would I Lie To You, Task Master, My Family, Outnumbered and Big Bang Theory. I like a good comedy show, I'll normally watch one at the end of the day before going to bed.
Nice! I went to see JLS live in October. Ed's songs are difficult to try and sing for sure :D
What sorts of things do you like? I love Would I Lie to You, The Last Leg, Bad Education, that type of thing.
I love JLS. I had a poster of them when I was younger. I worshipped it like they were my God Ed is good too. I tried learning Thinking Out Loud on guitar but was terrible so gave up lol.

Yes I do. Lately I've been watching loads of older TV shows but I like everything to be honest. If it's TV I'll watch it.
Oh I love Take That and 1D too! Also JLS and Westlife (sticking with the boyband theme). I like Ed Sheeran too.
Do you like British entertainment/comedy shows?
Hello. Thanks. I like a lot of different music. Right now I've been listening to groups: so Little Mix, Take That, 1D, Queen... But I've been lifting to a lot of 80s stuff too. What music do you like?
Hello! Welcome to this place. What music do you like?
Hi I know you said not to reply but it seems rude to not say thank you for reminding me of the rules.
So thank you
