Hi everyone
I’m a mum of a 29 year old son who has just been diagnosed with autism. We had suspected this for some time
Our son has difficulty with the social aspect amongst other things too
Because he finds making friends so hard, he doesn’t actually have any friends and didn’t at school either. He spends every day in his room with his gaming and TV
i was just wondering if anybody could tell us the next steps we should take. Unfortunately there are no meeting groups in our area
many thanks for any help you can give us
I haven't received a request on Instagram is what i mean x
I’m sorry if it was me
Not sure what you mean. Sorry
sorry sarah, my bad x

i think you might of messaged the wrong person x
Hi there! Fantastic to see you're finding friends here on the forum however one of the rules to keep everyone safe is not to publicly share personal identifying information :)
Best,
SarahMod

Thank you. I wish you well too
Hi. I’ll speak to my son and maybe get some details on how to contact you.
I’ll try and contact you later if you’re free. Thank you
Hi...no real advise to give except to say my 22yo son is so very similar to your son. At present am being led by him as he's coming out of burnout so it's very early days. I wish you well xx
I’m not to sure how I can contact you but my Instagram is JoeBellis_
Hello mate, just came across this message and I’d like to let you know I’m a boy going through the same stuff, I love to game and watch films also… maybe me and your son can meet?
Thank you for your message. My son spends every day in his room gaming and watching TV as this is his comfort zone. He can just be himself and not worry what others may think or say. It would just be so nice for him to meet people who understand him like we do and build some friendships.
