Hello all.
I was given 24 hours notice that my job was redundant (after 2 weeks consultation) 2 days later I had a meltdown/PTSD episode after not sleeping for 5 days and ended up with police detaining me (in handcuffs) under 136, dumbing me at A&E then when I tried to leave the hospital the A&E staff got the police to handcuffs me again so the police could take me to a “place safety” where I was then detained under section 2 and forced to take antipsychotic meds.
Does anyone have any experience with dealing with medical staff and the police before official diagnosis? From what I’ve read the police and medical professionals are supposed to treat as Autistic even if Autism is suspected.
Also does anyone know of local support groups in Gloucester/Cheltenham.
Thanks in advance.
omg i am so glad that someone understands it and went through it
i got sectioned twice under the s136 and once under s2 and i know how difficult it is
it is so hard especially when they have no idea about autism
i got injected by anti-psychotic
it is horrible
i am left terrified and totally traumatized
Damn that’s horrible.
yeah it really was
u have seen that the police arrest people on request by someone but they do other things
1. paper work of their daily tasks/arrests attendance at incidents and traffic accident evidence
2 they appear in court to give evidence
3 they have to tell people when someone they love is dead
4 arrest people sometimes someone they know eg went to school with
5 rescue people from rivers and buildings on fire --- give cpr
the police go everywhere and see things which are pretty traumatic. Your police training does not prepare u for everything "out there" on the streets. I am not trying to put you off the opposite i want you to understand the job of a police man so u can make sense at a selection board.
why would you do that???
i mean you would get all the training that you need
no i couldnt be i would shoot someone
no you wouldn't
i think you are so cool
and yeah i will try my hardest
are you a police officer???
if someone calls u names, shouts abuse at you u must be able to stay calm and not loose your temper/control. If some threatens violence u must not react and remain calm.
that above is like a test they carry out in police selection ( and army selection ).
what do u think ,,,, could u resist verbal abuse and not react ?
with practice u can get better at it. I have been trained in it.
but i would be a terrible policeman lol
hey!!!
i haven't hit someone from April 2nd 2020
which is unknown usually for me
go ahead
btw, how old are you??
really for this - dont hit me ok
what is that???
and yeah i am super vigilant, always questioning things and i love my rules and boundaries
u'll make a really good police officer because u will be able to detect / spot things other people have never seen
but u have one major weakness i want u to work on
both
i am a lot better now with working on myself and wanting to be a police officer
the violence word,,, are u violent to others or have u been the subject of violence
my intrusive thoughts,
voices in my head which i call 'little Simon'
my self-harm history
suicide attempts history
CSE victim
general abuse and neglect by family
violence
i know u are autistic what makes u a higher than average risk ?
well PICU ward is a nightmare
your sections has to expire and then you get released with a plan and a CPA and all that
but your section can get renewed at any time
ok that probably put the polices guard up.
how do u get out of the PICU ward ? what do u have to do to get out of a PICU award ( if u want to get out ? ).
yeah and my history of mental health difficulties
hope that never happens again to you or anyone.
