Hello Folks
There's more info on my profile, please get in touch if you have any similar qualities or interests, would be great to 'friend' some others on here.
Best wishes
Daisy
Thanks Daisy! Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Lost someone close the other day.
I didn't have the slightest clue I was autistic until a few months before my diagnosis, didn't know much about the sensory side of autism. My GP suggested he thought I had it, and things went from there. It had taken me to some dark places over the years.
It's amazing what a bit of understanding can do. As you say moving forward, it's answered so many questions!
Again welcome!
Thank you Cloudy Mountains, I'm really pleased to hear that things are slowly clicking into place for you. Me too :-) Would have been a whole lot easier to know I was ASD before I got to 47! Hey ho... moving forward.
Hello and welcome to the community!
You too I've spotted you on a few threads too.
Hello DuckBread, delighted to meet you :-) we've been on some of the same threads already.
I also love nature, food, sleep (when I can get it!) and reading. I'm 25 and awaiting diagnosis. Feel free to add me :)
Hello HollowMan, Thanks for replying. I loved the comment on your profile about the paradox of owning dogs - how they keep you sane, when they're not driving you round the bend :-)
How do DaisyDuck. I like dancing too. Well.. I did when I was young anyway. Unfortunately dancing has never really liked me lol, I was always rubbish at it.
Thank you, it's great to meet you too. I was lucky to get diagnosed 17 years ago, a lot of people like yourself have had to wait a long time which isn't fair. I like going on walks in quiet nature, like near the sea and woods. I did a lot of that growing up, think it's stuck with me. What kind of cooking do you like to do?
Hello Roswell, very happy to meet you. Wow you must have had good people around you to get diagnosed 17 years ago, that's great. The meal at your mum's sounds delicious. What do you enjoy about being outdoors?
Hello Bagpuss7, delighted to meet you. What kind of teaching do you do? Has having an official diagnosis changed anything for you practically or emotionally?
:-)
Hi there,
I like cooking, wellbeing and being outdoors too. I'm M 32 diagnosed 17 years ago. Had a lovely meal at my mum's today. Fusilli pasta with chopped tomatoes, onion, garlic, chopped ham and grated cheddar cheese.
congratulations on your diagnosis! I'm F 47 diagnosed almost 19 months ago.
