Dear oh dear! Not just Chinese men lots of singles out there without a dance partner. Maybe they should dance with a hoolahoop.. never could get the hang of it though!
I'm here po-go-in. Due to the One child rule in China there were a shortage of partners to dance with so there is a whole generation of Chinese men who have learnt how to pogo punk style x
Definitely had more lows than highs! I loved waltzers as a teenager wonder if they'd make me laugh as much now?

We are learning in a safe place. Also just because someone needs some space doesn't mean they're not coming back or don't want to be here they just need some down time.

Sometimes it's a form of self care to protect yourself from other people's ( or our own) emotional /social demands. It doesn't mean you don't care it just means at that moment you need to retreat

Exactly. The spoons theory isn't just about physical tasks ,it also , for me at any rate, how much emotion I can cope with before I exhaust myself.
I know what you mean....every day kind of gives you a quotient if emotional energy...,and it is trying to balance tgat as well as balance yourself x
We contribute where and as we can. Sometimes I cannot reply because it's too painful a subject or unravel more than I can cope revealing or I just don't have the stamina that day to contribute to something which needs concentration. When this happens I try to see if other people have posted back and if not and I think I have something to say .. I do later on. Not easy. Sort of a negotiation with ourselves in how much we can help and how much we see to our own needs ( not a balance I'm good at).

Not stupid at all.. it's more relevant than you can imagine so sentiment much appreciated. contributing is voluntary it's hard to keep up with it all sometimes I just ignore them if they have replies unless interested. Hope OH health issues not too serious but must be enough if they are bothering you.
Think I will wend my way to my lovely duvet no heating on so it's warmer there! Goodnight Spotty x
Uneventful, I did some reading around here, there seems to be a lot to read, but wasn't feeling very contributory. OH has health issues at the moment too which are preying on my mind. Another day tomorrow like you said. Hope you have a comfortable night if that isn't a stupid thing to say. x

Thanks Spotty. Yes it was though I tried listen. Think maybe start again tomorrow. The social services conversation completely threw me out of kilter all day.
I doubt you overstepped the mark, are you talking about the other teacher post? I found that overwhelming and I would imagine Ellie would too. I'm sure Tom/Katkins will still be around somehow. x

It's been a very strange day and feeling unsettled. But I have started a new thread for us if we want it. Spoke to social serVices but didn't seem to understand me nothing new there. Dad's ok for another 6mths so another checkup then. Tom has left us again. It's 9 already and everyone is very quiet. Hope you are all ok.
Easier to look after others than it is to look after oneself quite often.. and yes much easier to offer help than accept it or see answers for myself. X
You have to care for and take care of you too, amazing how easy that is to see in relation to other people! ()x

Not got sniffles. Just aching all over, woozy, tired etc thought it might be the paint fumes but possibly not. Trying to gather myself to collect things to go home again.
