2 members have PMd me saying they can't post so I don't know if this is a widespread problem.

A little tip.
When this has happened to me before, if I am frustrated by not being able to post, I've just created another ID + called it 'temp'.
There doesn't seem to be any forum restriction with regard to multiple IDs.
